This is amazing. The blade form and oxide coating make it look like it's been carved from one giant piece of obsidian. This looks like a legendary blade from some storybook

Awesome accept it’s more difficult to keep it sharp. A steel will cut the tips down eventually but still cool.

Damn, that is some dedication to a vision. Using an angle grinder to get a good bevel on a keris is hard enough, that is wild! I imagine keeping the edge true was also difficult. Two questions: how much grinding time and what was that you used to make it black? That was weird!

Great build. I like the organic lines. Really nice craftsmanship! Im not sure if the handl fits the blade in its style but i was wowed, that you were able to make that piece of wood look like antler.

Автору, просто как совет от такого же любителя металла: в следующем изделии попробуйте выковать, а не выточить, подобный узор, на лезвии. Это кратно повысить прочность изделия, в процессе производства также снизит затраты на инструмент и даже время изготовления(при определëнном опыте конечно). Желаю дальнейших успехов.

@@chuan282уверен, у Вас, всë получится, но осторожнее при закалке, так как при закаливании металлических изделий сложной, тем более ребристой или волнообразной формы, всë изделие может покоробить, поэтому закалиыайте зонами(сначала кромку, потом ближе к обузу лезвия. Либо, наоборот, примените резкий и быстрый кратковременный нагрев, верхнего слоя металла, чтобы внутренние слой не успели сильно прогреться - тогда изделия получаются.) Удачи в вашем деле.

Yes, it must be used with caution. I just use the leaves and dip them in water. To keep the blade from getting hot And be careful not to hit the angle grinder.
