Forget Living In New Braunfels
Thinking about Living In New Braunfels? There are some things to consider first. In fact, some recent transplants to New Braunfels (and elsewhere in Texas) wish they had done a little reconnaissance first. If you can't come down, the next best idea is to check out videos -like this one! There are at least 5 gripes I've recieved lowd and clear, and while most locals are fine with them, it seems only fair to share. Enjoy!

We used to come for a week every summer in the 80's, we'd park the trailer on the river right across from Oktoberfest. It was so much smaller and laid back, I'd ride my 10 speed all over town, it was a blast. A different time back then...
My family moved there in 1968 when there were about 14,000 people. We had Landa Park & the Wurstfest. That was it. Always wanted to move back someday. Well I retired & now it's too big & crowded. I do miss it & go there once a year to visit.
I will be moving to New Braunfels in January for Teo years while my granddaughter goes to Lutheran University to do her post grad studies. I am so excited, so is she.
Exquisite place to live, and raise a family
my niece and her family moved there 2 years ago from Cibolo, i'll be visiting Spring 2023. you should love Sprouts, I was just at Trader Joes yesterday.
We've lived in NB for the last 6 years. We love it here.
Yes, please don't move here.

@@catcat1811 By the time you get here, it will have changed a lot. They are building like crazy and the traffic is getting worse. Still better than Austin tough.

It's a nightmare, new fields be torn up everyday for a new subdivision but no infrastructure for traffic
I have to say this is a grant town , people are actually nice here for the most part, there are a few things that some people may not like but it doesn't mean the next person won't like those things ..all of these reels are opinions which people are entitled to but overall New Braunfels/ Canyon lake are is a beautiful place to be, the rivers, the countryside, the sunsets up at canyon dam , and the local favorite food spots make it worth it ..best just come see for yourself and if it's a little traffic ur worried about the leave a little sooner so you get there on time wherever that may be ...
We are full basically
Whole Foods and Trader Joes are both seriously overrated. Sprouts is the better choice. If not, Walmart and Target will do the job.
Traffic is terrible, construction everywhere. Re name NB to Excavator City, Tx

lol you're right. Some of the finished projects are major improvements, but they're never ending! Thanks for watching
Wow! You did such a good job highlighting the "cons" that I'm having second thoughts! 😬
Comal County is full
Hopefully I'll be moving to canyon lake before the end of the year. I did spend a few days out there last year in June and found it bearable. I'm originally from Southern California. Yes I know beautiful weather blah blah blah but the lunatic politics that come with it is unacceptable. I'm hoping I enjoy my retirement years in canyon lake.

Thinking of doing the same thing. Living in Southern California is pretty depressing these days,
Got back from a visit from New Braunfels a little over a month ago! It’s a nice town, BUT the traffic is a nightmare on I35 through there! So much so that it changed my decision to move there! Also there’s a lot of run down areas and then 2 blocks up is a brand new development! I will say that just about everyone we came in contact with was extremely friendly. Nice place to visit, but not live there. But that’s just me..

When you say see if you can handle the heat but I’m thinking of moving from Coachella valley CA where the heat this summer been like 120 degrees 😭😭 think I’ll survive but not sure if I want to go from heat to heat lol but I would enjoy more green! We live in the desert 🌵
Just want to know about churches and Ministry there is there any five-fold Ministry that are there
3:18 my grandmother lives just up that bridge
The flies for the past cpl of yrs are horrible. The mosquitoes this yr are bad. The scorpions in the house...wear shoes. The cedar allergies are pretty bad. And tourists are here between March to October. The traffic is bad on the weekends and construction nowadays is horrible. The house prices have skyrocketed and as a consequence...so have the property taxes. Also the energy costs have gone up tremendously. The wifi is another issue. It sucks on the weekends due to all the tourists flooding in and our system can't keep up. There are various spots throughout town, especially on the east side of 35, that you simply won't receive service.

If i lived in TEXAS I would tell everyone not to move here! To many conservatives wink wink
nb needs to be bigger
What a total clown . Doesnt like N B but specilizez in helping peoples relocate there and lives there.
Yes please, I agree. Everyone should leave NB. Please go elsewhere like Seguin, San Marcos or San Antonio. Stop making NB a hellhole.
