One issue I came across when tempted to order from Alibaba was the shipping fee … some manufacturers were charging a couple hundred to a couple thousand (and the inventory wasn’t even heavy)

Where you buying in bulk? If not this can be an issue, but check with them for drop shipping, they also have a drop shipping site on the account thanks rob

Yeah I mean The shipping fee is way to high to even buy a sample let alone dropshipping..

appreciated for your share, agree with you that Alibaba dropshipping is a much better sourcing model

I just talk to a supplier for Doop shipping but the shipping is more expensive than AliExpress for the same product

Thanks so much for the informative video. I had a question and if you could answer it that would be super helpful. So I'm getting into dropshipping and I'm looking to brand my items. Lets say once I've branded my items with my supplier and I've created my store etc, how would I fulfill the orders? Is there an app on shopify which makes fulfilling orders easier when your items have been branded? Would I contact the supplier directly after someone has placed an order on my website and have them fulfill the order since I've already paid for the branded items?

Dropshipping and branding don't really mix unless you are doing print on demand

@@mywifequitherjob how would I approach a supplier saying I want to dropship their items. I’ve seen a couple different videos on how to do this. Some people just directly purchase the item and leave the supplier a note to not put any invoices or marketing information on or in the product/packaging. Is there another way of going about this?

FYI, China has faster internet connection than the US.

It is not worth it because of the long shipping time, dropshipping need a fast shipping, so better to find suppliers from US, and go to alibaba when starting for private label.

Can you elaborate what you mean. So go US and then after that go alibaba? But how does that solve the long waiting time? Won’t you run into the same issue when u go back to alibaba?

@@nabillina5225 oh do u mean so u get the product quicker from somewhere in the US and u are selling them and if it’s doing well them go to alibaba to get that product with your custom logo and stuff? If that’s what u meant, but then, can’t u just ask the people/supplier in the US to do the private label for you? If u go back to ali baba how can u be sure it is the same quality of product, it won’t be the same product??? Then also, won’t the shipping time still be as long even if u aren’t dropshipping it, like if u are getting it sent to yourself or warehouse, aren’t the waiting times the same (meaning long)?

@@topboi9392 the issue with dropshipping is shipping time (too long), if you ship from alibaba the cros is the product will take much time to be delivered to customer, which will make you problems. so better to find supplier from the country you are dropship ping to. hope it is more clear now
