Forged RB25DET E85 cold start - Why my neighbours hate me
Just a quick snipped of my forget RB25det Fortnightly start up and rev (after warming up) as it runs E85 fuel it needs to be run every couple of weeks to burn off any water the fuel has absorbed and or fuel that's soaked into the oil. My neighbours aren't usually too impressed when I do it, but meh.

@@tangles01 Hell yeah... might make a good winter home, since it'd be summer there. Problem is, then you'd hate your neighbours.😜 Keep revvin', mate.

I've always been curious about de-stroking an Rd28 to 2500cc. Be interesting to see what the increased rod ratio does to the 2.5 displacement RB. All other things being equal... Be good to see what high rpm benefits are too be had with regards to valve overlap and dynamic balancing. Same for the XR6t or F6 donk. De-stroke it 200cc-800cc'ish (and lighten/balance rotating & reciprocating assembly of course, along with head work and intake to suit.) and see how the motor responds. Love the Barra but it needs to be auto imo as it tends to feel a touch lazy at high rpm in the OEM configuration. Ok for consistent WOT applications, but as a circuit racing engine, not so much. The ZF alleviates most of it when tuned/tightened up a bit tho. 400atwKw and a built ZF/TC make the typhoon/F6 a pretty formidable weapon on open-winding roads. (Shame about the rubbish OEM seating position and 'so-so' aero from factory.

De stroking a RD28 seems to be a lot of effort when the 25 exists, also getting your hands on one might be getting harder with all the drag boys using them.

its nice n quiet compared to old v8's with twin 2.5 or 3 inch pipes, i bet your car is fun , my stepfather owned one and the turbo silvia with all the fruit, i kinda like the silvias. stepfather owned a transport company so he could afford to pour the money into these cars unlike me i had old old lowered v8 cruisers

The cheap action cam mic doesn't really do it Justice. the idle isn't too loud, but when the rpm is up she get plenty loud... I love me some V8 sound too.
