The school has grown to over 3,500 students this year and three instructors from the school have been on the show now. Thousands of knives and hundreds of swords are made here every year, so the two heat treat ovens get a ton of use. We are the only American Bladesmith Society school in the west too, so to teach those kinds of classes requires up-to-date equipment. That said -- I didn't own a power hammer or press until a couple of years ago, and those ovens are relatively new. It was all hand-work and by eye to that point.. The horsepower is nice!

The Hattori Hanzo or Highlander katanas would be better. (Connor MacLeod's or Duncan MacLeod's, dragon heads are different). The best weapon against ROUS is firearms. Preferably full auto, belt-fed. MG-42/MG-3 should do nicely. Ma Deuce, Miniguns or any M61 20mm family weapons would be overkill.
