I really shouldn't even get into the things logistically wrong with that battle. If I even got started I would be here a while. I will only touch base on one thing since you mentioned it specifically. The trebuchets should have been right at the base of the foot of the outer castle wall behind the trench the dug so they should fire as long as possible. They knew the Night King would likely attack at night. They should of had bon fires set a just beyond max range, max range and every so many yard beyond that. As the bon fires winked out they would know the range of the enemy and make adjustments. I'm not going to touch on anything else.

His mind was blown when I told him how long we'd be sitting on a plane just to get there, then the drive from the canyon to Vegas. He settled for the PA Grand Canyon, which is still a large and respectable canyon in it's own right, and going to the Casino's in Atlanta. That distance to drive was enough for him, haha. Europeans really and truly just do not understand the SIZE of the US. When we say rural, they tend to think of a town that is maybe 15-20 minutes from a city (which is rural, but it is considered semi rural here). The idea that you need to drive 5-10 minutes just to visit your neighbor is incomprehensible to most Europeans. I mean, we have completely untouched land the size of some countries in the continental 48.
@caiusmadison2996

The thing is, its represented as a smaller land mass on all maps and all globes than it truly is. Its massive by comparison to many countries in general. We have stretches of land here that have a few hundred people for hundreds of miles. That's not the case pretty much anywhere on Earth. They have populated and spread out far more in other countries. If we step up our breeding game, maybe we fill it up in a few hundred years. Not likely though, simply too much open land.

consider that historically, it took smiths weeks to make a sword, and longer if it was a showpiece. They don't do the close up because if they did, you'd see all the polish still left to go on it.
I love the way he says "it'll kill." Like a kid with a new toy almost.
Both made beautiful swords but the winner's was on another level of craftsmanship, that thing was perfect!

I own two old fighting swords. One is a Claydick which is a smaller claymore and it is still sharp. Has a basket grip. Straight blade sharp on both sides. No blood grove. Probably 250 years old. The other is a British cavalry sabor from the early 18th Century. The curved blade is heavy and sharp. It has a basket grip. On the wide blade is engraved "Carnage paves the path to glory". The blade is long and weighted at the end. It must have been deadly in combat. I have never tried to cut anything with either of them, but I think both would kill just as they did when new.
Dude just made a Wu Tang sword, now that's a flex
These guys! Omg the strength 💪 of the blades so close

Fun fact: it is pretty much impossible that Wallace used a claymore or that the "Wallace Sword" belonged to him. Wallace predates the adoption of the claymore by a fairly significant number of years.

@Harrison Drews that, and it was possible that he actually preferred to use a bow and arrow instead of close quarters, which surviving artifacts and depictions showcase (which ones specifically I can’t fully remember, been a long time since I studied the Wars of independence so I could be wrong.)
One made a Claymore, the other made a William Wallace sword
i love the "Why would you attack a battering ram with a sword? i dunno but we're gonna do it anyway" it's pure self awareness and comedy, yeah this test is absurd, but we have to test something, and we're going to have fun with it. such genuine people i love this show.
That was a picture of Robert the Bruce not William Wallace
Its not even my work but I still held my breath on the strength test
The actual strength test was FIVE strikes against the Ram, they only showed three. Every time Dave smashes my blade into that ram I was thinking “oh man when is he gonna stop???!”
