Forged Feather & Sculpted Ash: Steel Quill & Crow Skull Ink Well
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A challenge was set by Giaco Whatever and Karoline Hinz from Berlin Prop Shop. Seeing as we needed a proper writing device for sending our letters, we paired a forged steel feather with a carved crow skull. Much ink will flow from the captains quill!
Thank you to Giaco and Karoline for the fantastic Challenge!

Aww, thanks sweetheart! Since Ive already become comfortable with the manly power swing, I have been working on swinging with the delicate finesse of a tiny girl. I wasn’t sure I was doing it so well until you just confirmed it. Highest compliment. Thank you! Love Always, Your Captain

Holy crap! a metal feather! so cool. And Wow! I knew it was an inkwell. I kept thinking "it's an inkwell". but I couldn't see HOW it was an inkwell until... well, it was an inkwell. Your projects are so different and cool. Not only did I not know I wanted to see them, I didn't know I didn't know I wanted to see them. I so dig the pirate themes and the artistry. Seriously, thank you for sharing these with us.

Wow! Thank you so much for the kind words Josh! I'm really glad you enjoyed. And you were right....it WAS and inkwell!
The quill came out great, but the skull is pure awesomeness. The plague doctor style with the long beak is creepy in the best kind of way. I assumed you painted the skull, but charring it is a brilliant idea. And you handing Skully the notepad was amazeballs. This old slapstick like humor is high in my humor top 3

Uhm.. yeah.. wow!! It all looks amazing, but somehow I really love the idea of making a feather, that is normally so soft and smooth and flexible, from steel. It still looks soft and flowy though, fantastic. And pretty insane band saw work there cutting the stem in half :)
