Thank you for your reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (a classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (an ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (a classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (a musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible. Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their majestic original song Utopia is a must check. Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia! Enjoy their diversity with their original song White Night too. Forestella released their single KOOL in Kpop style to fulfill their promise of Kpop cover dance for exceeding 990K views of Save our lives m/v. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans. Take a listening to Chosen One, an EPIC OST of the Sword of Aramun. Forestella released fantastic original Snow Globe m/v! Kang HyungHo composed it, and all the Forestella members contributed in arranging it. The members are; first one who started, Cho Mingyu, leader of the group, an opera singer, the base is Ko Woorim, also an opera singer; the very high voice is Kang HyungHo, who is also a rock singer, and the very expressive one is Bae Doohoon, a musical actor/singer. They went through many weeks of grueling competition to finally win that phantom singer 2 contest in 2018. They had a great start, but were stopped by Covid. Since the world reopened, they have been in Dubai, USA, and all over Korea just completing a national tour last summer. Ohhh, they're so talented it's unfair!! They put their own spin on every single cover they make, they sing in multiple languages, their originals are incredible! You can't go wrong with any of their performances! They have some more Queen covers: We are the Champions and We Will Rock You. All four members are men. Ko Woo-rim_ the traditional opera Base singer (he is serving in the military now), Kang Hyung-ho, a monster vocalist for soprano and rock, Cho Min-gyu from the traditional tenor (language genius), and Bae Doo-hoon, a pop tenor and musical actor. Kang Hyung Ho, the one you said who had been so sweet, also has that stunning rocker side; he also performs his solo concerts as Pitta and I love Pitta’s cover of Whismaster by Nightwish; but he has his original songs as Pitta too. He always blows my mind with his vocal range from tenor to soprano. He is the only member with no technical training when he made his audition. He is a chemical engineer and he worked as a chemical researcher by this moment. He is the most involved in arrangements and lyrics for the quartet songs. Cho Ming Yu told about him that he has such a good hearing that he instinctively knew how to make the sounds. Bae Doo Hoon is the oldest member and he had a career as a musical actor before Forestella was formed. Besides his vocal range of “baritenor” (baritone/tenor) his voice fits perfect with R&B, latin rithms, rock, pop… Cho Ming Yu has a Classic leggero tenor training in the University of Seul and he was about to move to Germany to his post grade mastery when Forestella was formed. He also performs as soloist and he uses to perform bolero, salsa, tango, whatever… He is always on point. And as an Spanish woman I must say his spanish pronunciation is almost perfect. Ko Woorim is the youngest member and he was in is third grade in the University of Seul (he is Cho Ming Yu’s Junior) and he was being trained as classic basso profondo when Forestella was formed. Nowadays he is in his mandatory military service as a member of the military music band until may 2025; so Forestella is performing as a trio until then. (More arrangement work for Kang Hyung Ho to change this 4 voices songs for only 3 in the meanwhile). They still sound amazing, anyway. You’ve entered into a fascinating world discovering them. In South Korea they’re known as “kings of harmonies”. I’ve subscribed so I can follow you in this journey.😊

FYI cross-over usually and literally means mixed up two or more different types of sources. in this case, classic music and pop music crossed. they are formed two of them from sort of pop music, the other two from legit classic singer like opera

Forestella first sang their version of Bohemian Rhapsody in the KBS Immortal Songs which is a kind of remake competition music entertainment show. It made them known to the world, and later they put it in their 2nd album titled Mystique. They had concert tour under the title Mystique. This video was filmed at the Mystique encore concert, the last of the tour. I prefer their Immortal Songs video because we can see their acting in the performance better there. Here it's too dark to see.. I recommend Forestella Queen's best songs compilation video on KBS Jeonju channel. There are 2 more Queen renditions in addition to the very first performed Bohemian Rhapsody by Forestella. And I recommend Italian songs by Forestella L'immensità, Nella Fantasia, Parla piu piano (the Godfather OST), In un'altra vita, Dell'amore non si sa, etc. I checked your playlist and saw your reactions to Sound of Silence and the Phantom of the Opera, Forestella sang Sound of Silence and L'immensità, We will rock you on the same day, there's a compilation video of those. Thank you for your reaction , i love Forestella, they have sung probably over 100 different songs(covers but also original songs) and they sing in different languages (e.g.French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, African Zulu...) , they all have also great solo songs.They never disappoint If you want to listen to an other great Bohemian Rhapsody cover I would recommend the cover of this song by Pentatonix, it is sung acapella but it sounds so great, after the Forestella cover of BR it is my second favorite of it though it was my number 1 before I discovered Forestella

As good as Queen is and they are the original classic, they never could do the whole song including the operetta part live. Forestella can do it in entirety every time. My favorite from them is Champions for showcasing each singer and if you like Kang Hyungho's high notes, you can watch his cover of Phantom of the Opera where he does both the Phantom and Christine's parts interchangeably.
