Appreciate the reaction to this amazing interpretation. The gentleman in the audience with the funny facial expression was actually expressing his appreciation of his intitial hearing of the song…those of us who know who he is understand that….its not interpreted as ‘stank’ face in S. Korea.😊 I Don’t agree with you re the choices they made in the beginning of the song. Forestella always pay homage to the original, but also always make it their song. Holding that harmony all the way through would not have done justice to the song and its message, it needs contrast and there are 4 different voices that are telling a story their way. This is the best rendition I’ve heard over the many years I’ve loved this song …That sudden break they added in the middle of the song represents Jim CROCE’s sudden death and poignantly points out the issue of time that Jim himself was wrestling with before he was suddenly killed in a plane crash in 1973 on his way to his next concert. 2 weeks before his son’s second birthday. He had originally written this song when his wife told him that he was going to be a father and a son was born in September 1971, the song itself languished originally and only became a hit posthumously. There never was enough time to do the things he wanted to do….

Because very few Koreans have such a beautiful bass voice... to explain the "skank" face...:-0

You have to remember this is a cover.....they are supposed to make it their own

Forestella never just performs a song as is. They always add their own twist to it and they should. If we wanted to hear the exact same thing, we wouldn't need covers. I don't like sterilized 1:1 covers of a song. you can never be the original artist, so there is no point in singing a song as the original artist did. You need to make it your own, tune it to your specialties, your skills to really shine with it.
