Hearing all these mosquitoes brings back memories, my body remembers and it itches all over me.

When there's lots of mosquitos, you will run until you can't run any more. And then you run some more. But more than mosquitos I hate the hirvikärpänen (elk fly). Coz they get under your clothes and in your hair, and you can't kill them by hitting them, you need to rip off them wings from them to get rid of them.

I hate the itikka also. But they are food for birds. So we must accept them as part of nature
I'm not surprised you called it the worst forest trial in Finland, mosquitoes are the most annoying insects that nature could give us

exactly!
Mosquitoes ruin summer. Would it really mess up some sort of "balance" if those damn blood suckers went extinct. Someone should work on eradicating them for good.
If you don't mind, can you show your apartment tour in Helsinki.
