Sifat thanks for sharing this, I grew up here and lived in Forest Hills the majority of my life. I moved away from this neighborhood just few years ago, however I regularly go back to shop and do my personal business transactions on Austin Street and other areas there in Forest Hills regularly. One of my nieces lives in old Forest Hills Gardens, which is absolutely a gorgeous place to live, this is a historical area.

@@TheNYCWalkingShow Oh I hear you Sifat, myself as well, I can tell you all the stores I used to frequent which are no longer there as a kid and all that has changed there. It has been a mainstay of my entire life. But I still love to go there to this very day and do what I need to do.

I have lived in forest hills for 40 years. Here is the reality: crime is definitely up. Many of the shop keepers have been robbed. Cars get stolen all the time. Shop keepers do not keep their streets clean. People who do not live here litter. I recently saw a man relieve himself in broad daylight on the side of the Catholic church. You can no longer take a leisurely stroll through the gardens area. It is not safe. Forest Hills used to be a Utopia when I moved here. Today it is no longer the case. Real Estate Agents are overdeveloping the area. Long lines for basic services. It is not a fairytale.
