I went to Thai school 5 years ago ( 15 days). I'm not good but I try it makes my holiday so much better. No other country gives you more respect for trying to speak Thai. Its a fun language. Wish I had your skills.

im so glad to see that there’re some foreigners who learn/want to learn thai. I’m thai studying in Europe, my mexicain friend once told me that thai language sounds very « ugly »😢 I was so shocked and sad, it can’t help, i can’t change the way my mother tongue sounds and i also dont want to annoy anyone. My family left Thailand when I was four years old, so I considered myself more American than Thai. That’s so sad when we are born Thais and we have to learn our native language (with subtitles) from a non non Thai person. LOL

Awesomenanu 2005 hi! That’s awesome that you are trying to learn Thai. I actually made a video about this a couple of months ago “5 tips on how to learn Thai in 6 months” and I think three things: 1. Learn in full sentences not just long lists or vocabulary 2. Learn to read (it will take time) but will greatly improve your pronunciation 3. Right environment. Cliche but you just need to be around people and be jumping at any opportunity to use it Hello from Sydney and sorry I can’t be of more help! ✌️

Two things: 1) I thought you should maybe have just started speaking Thai straight away on the order, then see if they were more surprised when a Farang turns up to collect the order. (2) You said before you were single & you wanted a girlfriend .. you could have asked the girl out, my friend, nothing ventured, nothing gained. You both went very shy very quickly, I think you liked each other. Good video though!

@Rabbie Burns - about your first point, Paddy speaks with a heavy foreign accent when he speaks Thai. Any native Thai speaker can easily hear it when he speaks. I know this because Thai is my second language and native speakers always notice my American accent when speaking Thai even though my Thai pronunciation is much better than Paddy's. Paddy has a wider Thai vocabulary than I do.

hi Paddy, i've just discovered you chanel and subscribed. It would be awesome if you could also incorporate some tutorial type videos to help beginners like me improve our thai language. As a suggestion, you could do a regular video taking a thai sentence, and break it down explaing each word and the structure (just a suggestion). I've been to thailand over 30 times and plan to live there. Cheers from Melbourne

Thank you for supporting the small businesses in your area. I'm just guessing, but I think Thai people don't like the Thai food in Australia (and I'm sure in the States as well) because perhaps they've adapted the food to Australian people's tastes (or American tastes in my case) and Thai people prefer authentic Thai food. It's the same here in the States with Chinese food where Chinese people prefer to go to Chinatown where the food isn't Americanized. Anyway, sorry for the long comment. Great video again, Paddy.
