Foreigner Speaks Vietnamese in London

Hello everyone. I'm just a guy from Europe who is speaking Vietnamese with strangers all over the world. Back in the days I was living in Hanoi, Vietnam for few years and during that time I decided to learn this beautiful language and know more about the culture as well. I do believe that language learning and ability to communicate with strangers in their language is something special so while doing my regular job I record those videos for you guys just for fun. I hope you enjoy it :) 🇻🇳

Why is it impressive for a white person to know another language? Do we really believe they’re that self involved, unlike the rest of the world? So weird… And never trust a guy obsessed with Asian shit. They’re usually fetishizers.

Out in South Texas I had a Vietnamese friend I grew up with in my hometown! I had no clue that he spoke fluent Vietnamese (Sorry if y’all language has a name) well I found this out when I started going over and staying the weekends at his apartment when we started high school together! I was amazed and I remember telling him why he didn’t tell me he spoke another language? then he told me why I didn’t tell him I spoke Spanish! 😂😂😂😂👌👌👌 We knew each other since 5th grade and I didn’t find out till 9th grade!😂 It was just a shock but I thought it was bada$$ though!! Well I always thought his dad was mad all the time because he would just come in the room shouting and have a quick conversation then leave the room! I remember one of the first times this happened I asked my friend what did he say and why was he mad? He told me his dad wasn’t mad and he just asked what we wanted to eat and he was going to get us Burgers from Whatsburger! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I always thought he was mad because how he spoke!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Good people oh and his momma was a dime piece! 😍😍😍😍 😂😂😂😂

Okay, I think I figured out why it's difficult to understand your Vietnamese...the way you speak sounds more like Chinese, which is what another person mentioned in your latest video. But your ability to comprehend and respond to native speakers is impressive. Just need to work on maybe slowing down your cadence and pronouncing the words more clearly/distinctly. I would suggest you ask them to help you correct your sentences/cadence/pronunciation and then repeat after them (ask them if it's okay once you repeat their words and ask for feedback). I think in situations like that where they are not busy and have the time, it'd behoove you to befriend them and practice with them.

Every videos I've seen of him, it seems as if he only orders tea as an excuse to enter the restaurant and have a chat with the staff for content. He goes in there, wastes their time and orders something worth less then what people would tip the server if they were to order a full meal. Like c'mon man, do you really like Vietnamese people and their culture? Someone who did wouldn't be afraid to support them.
