Coquito is no named after the little frog (Coquí). Coquito is named after the main ingredient which is coconut. It literally means little coconut.
Where are my Puerto Rico gang?!!!!
This is must be one of the nicest dudes on earth. Very respectful and sincere about our culture and lifestyle. Pretty much summed eveything up. We need more people like him in this world 👍🏼🇵🇷
Actually ‘coquito’ means ‘little coconut’ because it is the main ingredient of the drink 🥥
When he mentioned almost everyone had a garden I started laughing because it's true
Mentioning arroz con gandules “I don’t feel like it’s anything special” Me: screams and cries in puertorrican
My son is having a baby with his Puerto Rican girlfriend! She is sooooo beautiful! My grandbaby will be so cute.

Thank you for being so respectful of our culture. Loved the way you spoke about your experience. Your Spanish is so good.
You described Puerto Rico very well. Thank you 😊
This guy's cool. Respectful and seemed to get most of it. I wish people that come to PR were as thougtful and aware as you are Keep coming back. My family will cook for you all your favorite things. You're part of la familia now
Apparently he learned a lot from Puerto Rico and his Spanish sounds pretty good hahahahaha , 🇵🇷🤘🏼
Thank you for being honest about the good things and bad things about our island.
Thank you for your respect for my beautiful island and my people, my culture.
He really has the Coqui song imitated perfectly!
Puerto Rican Spanish is very influenced by the spanish of the Canary Islands.
the way some puertorricans pronounce the r diferent is because the colonialists came from the frontier between spain and portugal. if you hear someone speaking Portuguese , you going to see why
My abuela when she serves me food :Is this enough food? Me:Yes that's good like that thank you abuela. Abuela: ADDS MORE FOOD ME:😐
It looks like this guy was a missionary, thanks for being in PR.
I feel so bad for him for that “mugging joke” experience. Being puerto rican myself and being subject to stupid humour like that from family members, i know how he feels. We are a very interesting humor people. Lol.
I have to congratulate you on being so loyal and real to how we are actually! Thank you!
Pretty accurate brother! Thanks for the respect and you'll be welcome here anytime!!! One thing! The drink Coquito is not named after the Coqui(Little Frog that sings) it is in fact named after its main ingredient which is Coconut or Coco in spanish! But Pretty Accurate video! In general but in the center of the island that "dialect" you say is actually Andalusian which is a Spanish variation from the Castillian! The official Spain Language!
One of the best thing in our puertorrican culture is related at the time to eat....when you are sitting in a table to eat you tell everybody "buen provecho " is like Bonna Appetite in frech. I don't know how said in English I thinking the most close could be enjoy your food I guess
Thank you, Amigo ♥️ for sharing your experience of PUERTO RICO♥️ and your kind words regarding our culture. 🤗🙂
Pretty respecfull and accurate for a foreigner, and good pronunciation.
Love this guy puerto rico was lucky to have you
I'm Puerto Rican and I hate Morcilla 🤷 and very good Spanish👍
Coquito is made of coconut (coco) and not named by the little coqui frog, the beverage made of coconut and pineapple is called piña colada.
The "Ahí bendito" is the way we feel sorry for someone , is like we are saying "oh im so sorry"="Ahí bendito". 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷 Brutal is like "awsome" and can relate as "brutal" like something huge even though "brutal" is not like a good word.
Lol man, I understand you cuz not everybody like "morcilla".
I am a proud 100% Puerto Rican woman :)love this video
Is funny how people that come to the island always notices the sound of the coquí and we are so used to it that we barely give attention to it.
Am happy being a true American puertorican .proud to be from both world .god bless our coltures
I LOVED PASTELON TOO!!
Thank you for the respect. And yes, we love our food 🤣

About the horses, few people do it as their main way of transportation, most have them because they love horses.
He really knows what he's talking 🇵🇷 💙
Thank you for the nice comments ❤
What a Beautiful soul!
I love you, you really have study our culture. God bless you.
Lmaoooo Puerto Ricans Talk a lot 😂
We do have the Puerto Rican Boa Snake which is endemic, the "Crock" you mentioned are really Caribbean Endemic "Caymans" which were introduced here during the 50's and spread in swamp areas ☝🏾We have a spider here "Guabá" which grows much larger than a tarántula ☝🏾We also have our own eagle "Guaraguao" There is wildlife here, go to San Lorenzo and you might see deers (introduced)! Driving, good heavens, you should see how they drive in Gainesville Florida lmaoooo 😂🤣☝🏾
He had me laughing when he talked about how we dont pronounce our R's and how we shorten our words.. He's not lying 🤣🤣🤣... We Puerto Ricans have Big Big hearts...
Your imitation of the Coqui was on point 👌🏼
Honestly the most accurate description I have heard from a foreigner ever.
Thanks for letting the people know the good things about us, people tend just to say just the bad things about the bad apples that we have.
Wow u r one of us! One of us, one of us... 😂
So happy you're talking good bout our culture
Your Coqui impression is spot on 👍🏻 and you Spanish is perfect 🤙🏻
😆 🤣 😂 he nailed down the "mira nene..." that was so ghetto...😆 🤣 😂
aww he knows the basics....
That's us in a nutshell. Thanks for your honest review. 🧐
Love Puerto Rico ❤❤❤❤
Puerto Ricoooo🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
This is so accurate for me and my family though wow.
As a Puerto Rican citizen, I hate cabalgatas. They only bring traffic and get in the way, it’s worst at night when you can’t see them
Much respect, pretty accurate 👍
Hey hablan Español saludos desde Puerto Rico La isla del encanto🥥🥥🍌🍌🍈🍈🥭🥭🥝🥝🦀🦞🦐🦑🦪🍾🍷🍹🍸🍺🍻🥂☕🐓🦜🦎🦗🐞🕷🕸🦟🐝🐜🐛🐌🐚🐸🦅🌎🏝🏞⛰🏕🛶⛵🧨🎆🎇✨🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Yup someone stole coqui and they ended up on a ship which ended up in hawaii
I’m so surprised he knows us so well! Hahaha! Even the breathy r! Haha
Pretty accurate. Except for the train detail. It exist but it's a really short route on the metro area
♥️ I used to have a papaya, banana, guanábana, lime tree. Also, all the plants needed to do Sofrito! 😍
Your puerto rican Spanish accent is on the spot. Lol😄
Surprisingly accurate, very observant. Cheers. Only thing that surprised me is you did not notice the "tren urbano." To be fair, your grasp of transportation on the island is spot on. Cars are the norm indeed. But that train is surprisingly pretty popular. A lot of students and young professionals use it.
Wepa! It was fun hearing it from your perspective. 😛 thank you
❤❤😁😁🇵🇷🇵🇷👍👍 the island is beautiful
Correction. Not every house is made out of concrete. It may seem that way in some areas though. 😊
The r sound was copied from a colony of French people who lived on the island. They pronounce the r with the back of the tongue instead of the front and a Puerto Rican decided to copy them and the rest in the countryside followed them. Just listen to a french person talking in his/her language and you will know where the r comes from.
😲 I'm amaze how you had everything to the T. Except, I do not recall the horses😂😂😂.. Thank u.. Excelente..
I love how much puerto rico loves its flag xd --------------------------------------------------------- Me encanta cuanto puerto rico ama su bandera xd
Yes, bacalao is salted codfish.
He did the coqui perfect! 👍🏻
Can’t wait to move there. Visited many times and have fallen in love with Puerto Rico. Meeting my real estate agent there this winter to start property shopping. So excited to call PR home ❤️
We have the Puerto Rican Boa constrictor.
A PERFECT "COQUI" SOUND IMITATION. HOW CAN YOU DO THAT?
QUE VIVA PUERTO RICO..!!!
Thank you. Accurate information. What part of PR do you live?
This is spot on.
Pastelon is done with yellow plantain that are fried. Pasteles are mind os like tamales and they are done using green bananas , potatoes, pumpkin, green plantain sofrito and people used different combinations.of this ingredients, etc.

Sorry for the typos
🇵🇷 PUERTO RICO IS A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY
The snake you saw is the “Puerto Rican boa” which is a native species. Their numbers are down because of indescriminate use of insecticides and exfoliant which poison the snake. They are useful as rodent catchers and they used to keep the iguana population down.
I'm seeing y this and i feel proud. You have to come to the west side and the south west next visit to the island.
Or they welcome you with a cup of coffee not even in the house.yes thank you for showing respect
I'm from Puerto Rico and i really HATE flat roofs, ugh.
I do not know who you are. Great job. Thank you. 🇵🇷

Yes he did. October 2020
LOVEEEEEEE THANK YOU
9:21 Yes! A LOT of people have dogs or well more like abandon dogs that the community has more or less kinda of collectively taken care of. But the thing is, it's better if you learn to walk with a walking stick. Something wooden and strong, lots of people will tell you, they walk with large sticks for the sake of the dogs. Now I'm not saying to go beat every dog you see in sight but if one gets too aggressive and/or close use the stick to ward them off.
U have some Puerto Rico in you, lol
The dogs that he mentioned are called "Perros Satos" (Muts) or Perros Sadnoso( Mainged dogs).. they will chase and bark but 99 percent of them will not bite they just want you to go away. 🤣🤣🤣
I think you are a LDS. Thank you for the video love it. By the way im a member from Fajardo. 🌴🌊💙☀️
There are many more animals on the island. And your Coqui impression is amazing
You hit it on the nail dude pretty cool my respects

Correction hahaha coquito means small coconut, coquito is the name of the beverage
