Why o why do people come to Malacca? What is so good about it... or is it not? We talk to several random people on the streets of Malacca, also spelled "Melaka", to find out if this city is worth visiting.
This is filmed in the center of Malacca; goo.gl/maps/VK8NiJ91fZfCgMdT7

People should know the origin of Malacca and how history began , from kesultanan Melayu Melaka, Portugese and british

No, the history are begin from kedah tua@langkasuka empire not malacca. People really should learn the history properly.
Yet again an awesome load of interviews. All these people added so much value, all had their own interesting ideas and thoughts and even expanded on things when answering the questions. It is clear that your relaxed happy go lucky approach to interviewing puts these complete strangers totally at ease and they really do open up and want to get involved. This I would say actually has to be one of the top two interviewing videos I have seen to date and those in Malaysia, in particular, have been very good. Stay champ CHAMP 🤩

That’s so nice of you to say Steven 😃 So far the experience in Malaysia have been very good and the people like are super nice (local and tourists) I feel grateful I’m able to do this and share with you 🤗🏆 thanks again champ and have a beautiful evening
Thanks, Chai. Nice decision to intercut scenes from town during the interviews. Made it visually appealing while still hearing from your guests. You should feel quite good that the strangers you stop to talk to you appear very comfortable and casual with you, like talking over coffee. That is a great skill to have. Continued safe travels.

Welcome to my hometown! Hope you will have a memorable stay! Immerse yourself in the exotic culture that is Malacca! From the Peranakans to the Chettiars, you will find plentiful of interesting facts on how they led their daily lives. Experience the food - you will be in food heaven for sure! The sight and sounds, the hustle and bustle of Malacca is uniquely, well..... Malacca! If you are still in Malacca as of todate, pop over to the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum where you will learn much about the Peranakan culture. Anyways, hope you have a great time in Malacca - a place "where it all began".

Malacca is simply DIFFERENT AND A MUST TO BE SEEN.Honestly it's a great place to see and to live.We"ll be there next month...Plenty of different types of food.Maybe the weather is a little extra warm but worth it.👍👍👍👍
European Breakfast there is in Kopi Tiam in Malacca in the morning and there is some morning market hidden between the back of the building. Ask the local in the early morning and they will tell you where to find the morning market.

Very interesting to see how Malacca/Melaka has changed over the years. I lived in Tanjong Kling in the 1960s and regularly went into Malacca, went back for a visit in the late 1980s and last visited in 2011. Lots of changes over the years - some good, some not so good. Watching this has got me thinking about going back for one last visit.

@@Chai_Travel Malacca was a sleepy backwater in the 1960s and Tanjong Kling, where we lived ,even sleepier and to get to our house from the road you walked down the lane past the water buffalo. I am English and my father worked for the military camp at Terendak. All history now.
There are many types of food in Malacca. Get connected to any locals for they know where to bring you for nice food and relaxation.
Lets try ikan bakar melaka, very nice

That was nice of the couple to let you sample their dodol. I was afraid you would eat all of it leaving them an empty container. 😯

Haha! it was super lovely of that couple to let me taste indeed 🥰 such a nice couple. Unfortunately I had to give the container back 😜 cheers mate
Do your homework, and you'll be able to locate a few cafes that serve good breakfast and coffee in Melaka. 😆👌
Dodol is made by stirring the mixture of glutinous rice flour, coconut milk, palm sugar(it’s called gula Melaka in Melaka) in the heat continuously for hours.

Hai Chai, you have done many interviews but I, as a Malaysian like to know from you the air quality in Malaysia?
@Chai_Travel
Жыл бұрын
thanks for watching again 😊 I’ll keep that in mind 😁 for me the air quality is very good as there is a lot of jungle and the big cities don’t have a lot of smog I found out myself. :)
Want to find good architecture and foods? West peninsular Malaysia Good nature and island? East Malaysia + Borneo A tourist told me this🤔🤔
To the yellow shirt guy, just like any parts in the world people here do get up early just that we dont go to tourist spots early in the morning the reason you see so many shops close at bandar hilir before 10am. The locals establishments/restaurant s are open daily in the community area and as early as 6.30am serving local food, these are the places you should go, mixing with locals at warung or kopitiam during morning experience eating locals breakfast and try the local coffee, you might forget about your espresso. If you still want your intercontinental breakfast and espresso then go to McDonald's la.
@Chai_Travel

Haha yeah the McDonalds is also an option :P thanks for watching champ 🏆
As a Malaysian, i dont like Melaka because of so many traffict light and its weather temperature is so hot.
The Sumatran came, then came the Portuguese. Then the Dutch kicked Portugal out, but alas came the Brits.
Dont you ever wish to go near to Malaysian that carry food. They will ask you to eat. Hahahaha
