Just ordered a custom pair of boots yesterday.. now have to wait 2-3 months god them to be done… I don’t want to wait!! Lol I’m so excited! I can’t wait for your new more casual line to come out :) got a sneak peak at the Redding store today :)

How have them been since you got them?

So cool you guys have so many models now...I bought a fire inlander back when it was your only stock boot and it's great but it seems like some of these other models would suit me better

Would love it if you made military boots! Coyote Tan rough out for Marines/Army/Air Force and polishable black leather for Navy and Coast Guard.

I'd like an inventory check. Like how long do you stock Bison leather. From order to receiving to production, how long does it sit? Also, what care is needed for the stored leather? Stuff like that. I just wish there were more "insider" videos. I know you have competition. So anything you do that is proprietary, obv leave out. Just generally what you do with the leather. How you pick them. How you invent new stuff or can you make recommendations to the tanneries.

First, I am loving these videos. Second, why don't you make the OT 6" in bison? I love the look of the OT smooth, but only want a 6" tall boot and bison because it's so soft and durable

Anyone have thoughts for someone around livestock in regards to rough or smooth out leather? I am in sloppy mud and manure regularly, which will hold up better?

I have a pair of JK Bison Forefronts. I dont really do anything crazy. I just love a good boot. Was in the market. I felt like why not spend an extra 200 bucks and get a pair of boots that are handmade. By people who live here. From tanneries that are rooted here. Your money is staying innthe US. From where theybsource parts and leather and such. It makes me feel good to not spend it with a corporation that is solely looking to please investors and make quarterly targets, no matter what. I love these boots. They keep getting better with time. The Bison Leather is absolutely amazing looking. The feel, the smell, the color. I did use the oil that came with them, that def darkened the leather a solid 2 shades. However, since using it, about 5 days later now, its lightening back up. So, the obenauf's leather oil that JK gave me is really good and penetrating the leather, fully. You will see it will sit on the surface for a bit. However, as long as you font overdue it, its not darkening the leather permanently, it's simply giving it a wet look that will eventually kinda soak through it seems, as your feet hest the leather up and the pores open up and it will eventually soak through and then seemingly return, slowly, back to its original color. When it does this, the grain looks even better. Idk, I can't say enough good things about Bison Leather.

Can I send in a new pair of shoes with internal dimensions which fit to help consolidate fitment? I was in the process of buildin' a custom pair online, however, I am too much of a novice of boot components to even attempt answering all the questions. This is a positive inconvenience, because it just immediately demonstrates the quality of craftsmanship your company offers... 👀😮

I would love to get my wife a pair of these forefront boots. She currently wears doc Martens. She has such small feet. A size 5 in men's and she wears thick socks

Yes! We don't offer that exact configuration as an in-stock model, but it is definitely something we could build for you, no problem.

You guys should literally make something as simple as, an insole like shape, but obviously oversized so you don't have to have multiple sku's (we all know how much that sucks). I buy them from you guys for say 30 bucks. I STAND ON THEM, now you have an imprint of my foot. Maybe add a piece of paper with their foot traced, just as a backup and then get ball and heel measurements, why not of your going through this. Maybe it can even be washable ink print, for the super cheap 🤔 Send them back (they actually make packages the air bubble and bag type that resealable and can be used twice). Then, you have my foot print, and maybe the entire process can be an extra hundred bucks even. It will completely eliminate anyone on the fence and it will be a huge i mean huge advantage over you're competitors. Call it the JKFIT. If I order that, you then guarantee that the boots will fit me. I think starting a system like this could a game changer man. If you use this method at any point in time, please, do give back and throw me a pair of bison leather 6 inch forefront.

Standing on a piece of leather for a few seconds or minutes won’t leave much of an imprint. Their tracing method is as good as is gonna get without having a try on boot. And it’s free!

@@KimballPrecisionRifles nah, i think everything can be improved, especially this process. Tracing something leaves a ton of room for error. Simple as that.
