I’m going to buy the Dremel Fortiflex, because of the footpedal, foredom is terrifying expensive here in Germany !

OK. I know choppy waves. Been there, done that. Had a 30 ft cabin cruzer once, long time ago. I got pic's. Anyway, I still use the Dremel 100 & 200 single speed ones. I figure if I'm gonna use a Foredom foot pedal to control the speed, why do I need a speed control on the Dremel? Yah, the 3000 and 4000 and 5000 and 120000000 run faster, but I'm old and age slows a person down so I ain't in no hurry. I don't want a pickle, I just wanna ride on my motorcycle. Hi Jordy.

Totally agree with your comparison. Now do the dremel stylus. 🤣 It's kinda like a paddle boat. Thanks for the heads up on lowering the dremel. I should probably do that for my RTX too huh?

with dealing with 3d printers and scanners and stuff i tend to give the good and the bad about machine i own or sent to me. and i let the company know i will do that. those that pull out in my view i think don't have confidence in there product. or unwilling to listen to user comments on how to improve there product. so no loss there. but like yourself i have paid for a lot of my own bits and bobs. and thanks for your videos by the way. i find them a great enjoyment though i have not done any woodcarving with the rotary carver. i have the tools just hard to get the wood. nothing good washes up on are beach. and anything that falls in are woods tends to get woodchipped before i have a chance to get to it. but every now and then i get some cool bits for my celtic carving. i now been playing with carving stone. have you given that a go yet. carving stone with the dremel etc. :)

@@CarvingFusion cool i will check it out. we have a local soap stone near where i live sadly it has a lot of iron ore in it so many pockets of rust in them. but i have been carving some smooth beach rocks no idea what it is but carves nice and is dark when polished. sadly had a lot of rocks dumped over the years on the beach to help with erosion so not even sure if what i pick up is even local stone.. :)

Just looked at the Grizzly flexshaft. It's exactly the same as the one sold at HFT for about $50. A decent machine, I have one. Add a Foredom pedal and it's good to go.

I want to tear a spear in favor of dremel. I find that they are small machines and perhaps not suitable for intensive use like that of the foredom, but precautions can be taken. I currently have 3 dremel 4250s with shafts. some I bought, others were given to me by relatives. the advantage is that this way they are much less stressed, I keep them with the main bits already mounted, so I keep changing from dremel to dremel and they are only used for 1/3 at the end of the job :) Ah, I would like to point out that there is also the possibility of having the warranty extended to 3 years for free, so it won't be a very recent problem. but yes, you pay for quality. the foredom will also last 20 years.
