FORDSON DEXTA POWER LOSS

Doing repairs on the fordson Dexter, and it turned out that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it could’ve been

    They were notorious for the little tank filter on the fuel tap clogging. We used to Push a screw driver through ours as the filter collects the crap

    Yes what l did was put a chain and a hook to the gear lever to hold it fully in gear so it can’t jump back out…. It doesn’t seem to damage the fork because it’s always covered with oil l have been doing that for many years

    @@2LaftsonStudiosTM l didn’t do anything else just a chain to a bolt on the diff housing somewhere. Pull the gear lever past the indent so as it’s fully meshed the teeth I think that is the design fault with it.

    Needs a new diaphragm in the governor to stop the hunting. Very common problem
