Hopefully these things and many more things will be ready for you arrival on to campus in the fall.

    what freshman dorm do you suggest is best? Loyola requires an additional application for all the super religious stuff lol

  • @nohkotlarek4553

    @nohkotlarek4553

    4 жыл бұрын

    LOYOLA ALL THE WAY. Do not be turned down by the additional application and "the super religious stuff" hahaha. Loyola is far superior. The hallways are as wide as the hallways at nice hotels. In the other freshman dorms you have to walk sideways to fit through the hallways. Rooms in Loyola are much larger and have wooden floors. Additionally, Loyola rooms have sinks and mirrors, this is a blessing, believe me. If you want to get a sip of water in the middle of the night or quickly rinse your hands you don't have to leave your room. Loyola may also be more conducive to making friends. There is only one common lounge so everyone is forced to study/hang out together. Also, all Loyola residents take at least one class together (true for both liberal arts and Gabelli). This is good since you will know and become closer to your residents and classmates. Also the Loyola students tend to take school a bit more seriously than other students since they were willing to complete an additional (small) application. As for the "super religious stuff" there is a lovely priest Father Lito that lives on the 3rd floor and he holds a completely OPTIONAL 20-minutes mass every week. Father Lito is super nice and eager to make conversation with you. He will invite you a bunch of other freshman to his room after snacks. To say Loyola is "super religious" is not true. The optional 20-minute mass is really the only thing religious and you aren't forced to do anything religious either. The only requirement is that you attend a 45-minute session every month or two on some topic like creativity, or team work, or leadership that is hosted in the lounge by a professor or Dean Parmach. Some people might say these are super annoying but they really aren't. You get to meet some cool adults and see your fellow residents. The cool adults will invite you to participate in "special" programs and actives later on at Fordham. Lastly, when you leave Loyola you will automatically have some connections around campus. I'm not making it up, after freshman year the Loyola kids all seemed to know each other and a significant portion continued to hang out together. Not that other dorms aren't good but this sort of "glue" seemed to be lacking. Also, you have to do a day of service once a semester but it's fun. in summary definitely select Loyola first then queen's court. Hope to see you at Rose Hill!

    Hi could I ask you a few things? Firstly, I heard that the food is awful and not sure if it's true or not. Did they change a menu or something? Also, if I am going to live in a dorm with the other person, will we have our own bathroom or is bathroom only one for the whole floor? Also how many people are on that floor

    I attended two years ago I liked the food a lot but others did not. They have since changed the cafeteria since I left so I don't know how the food is now. I went to NYU last year the food was about the same as it is at Fordham. It's school food. As for the bathroom it depends which dorm. • @nohkotlarek4553

    @nohkotlarek4553

    4 ай бұрын

    Hello Luvshsh, it has been two years since I attended Fordham Rose Hill in the Bronx. I did not attend Fordham Lincoln Center in Manhattan. I think for first year you should try to live on campus (apply to Loyola). As far as parties I would say that mostly occurs off campus in the neighborhood of Belmont which is where Fordham Rose Hill is located. So if you lived in a dorm or in an apartment in Belmont there would be virtually no difference asides you can't really host a big party in a dorm. As far as networking, the more time you spend on campus the more opportunities you will have to bump into your peers and teachers. Living on campus increases the these incidences and makes it easier to stay on campus longer. I lived on campus all 4 years most students live on campus for at least the first or second year. If you are going to the campus in the Bronx you will feel like you are at Fordham more than you will feel like you are in NYC, different if you attend the Lincoln Center campus.

    Hi, I have a question. I've been accepted to the Rose Hill campus with a major in marketing, but I'm considering switching to the Lincoln Center. Is this possible? I'm a bit confused as the information suggests that at Lincoln Center, you study global marketing with consumer insights, while at Rose Hill, it's just "marketing." I also plan to minor in fashion, and I'm unsure if this is feasible at Lincoln Center. I simply want to switch to Lincoln and need to know: 1) Is it possible to switch? 2) How does marketing at Lincoln differ from Rose Hill? 3) Can I pursue a minor in fashion there, and are there available facilities on campus? I would really appreciate your help if you know answer to any of these questions 🙏🏻
