Dubious, since 1970s cruise control didn't adjust speed for other vehicles and couldn't stay in a lane. A stunt like that in the 70s, would be more like sticking a brick on the gas pedal and a rope on the wheel. Techs weren't remotely the same 50 years ago, I remember because I remember the 70s very well.

Difference being #1 I'm in the driver's seat #2 I am paying attention to the road I felt very comfortable with the car driving as long as I stayed on an interstate... I'd always take over directly anything other than interstate driving.

Pretty sure this was in Canada as at times the speedo is displaying 104 with a top speed of 200 capable which would seem to indicate kilometers and not MPH. It is also pretty safe to say that the driver is the one with the camera and there is a passenger lying on the back seat. Both of these dingbats are lucky to be alive. The driver should be in jail.

Whether this is a real or fake video, I don't how this is possible if FORD is like Tesla and also have a camera on the person to make sure he is alert. If FORD does not have a camera, then this is definitely a serious accident about to happen That is the problem with these automated driving systems. Too many drivers try to abuse them. To me, these kind of things drivers do are disgusting. Also, I can't imagine how many drivers might be abusing FSD with this free 30 day trial period to a large group of drivers. I have to be very alert and make sure the Tesla vehicle does not make the wrong move. Sometimes FSD feature makes me nervous. I did have to momentarily disable the feature several times during my few days I have tested now. It is nice that Tesla allowed us to try the feature, but I will not buy FSD when my trial period is completed in June. I can't justify paying the high price tag and even having this feature for the kind of short driving I do daily. Thanks for your video. Take care.

This surprises me because the lane keep assist on my 2020 Ford is absolutely rubbish. Every other vehicle with LKA that I've driven (several different makes) even several years older, has been far better. What doesn't surprise me is someone who'd buy such an oversize vehicle not caring about the safety of those around them.

If no weight is detected then nobody is in the seat...therefore the vehicle engages emergency stopping and gets off the road. So Ford, why is your Blue Cruise not built with overlapping saftey features? No camera...no sensors tie in...just nothing. Why is NHTSA not lossing its shit right now?

This is why I won't be buying FSD for a Tesla or pilot pack for Polestar, for my next EV. Actually now POlestar 2 LR price dropped to $59k (their pricing strategy has backfired, clearly) I wouldn't think of getting pilot pack, I'd just get one of these in LR base spec model if I had the readies.

People will do anything these days to get attention, even if it means putting their own lives or others in danger. Looking for clicks I guess.

So? He’s just copying what Tesla owners have been doing. This is one feature that should be banned in cars.

My cruise control disengages when I take of my seatbelt. Surely Ford isn't so stupid as to be beaten by China on Safety?

Now you know why Tesla monitors drivers with the interior camera (I should know, I was watching a tv show on my iPad with FSD driving for me and the model 3 absolutely lost it making me tap the wheel every 30 seconds)

All the auto cruise, or driving assistant, or self driving, or autonomous vehicles are rubbish unless the vehicle can 100% drive by itself, which may still not exist in real life. These technologies are very misleading. People on drug, alcohol or any unscrupulous people will just use the excuse and turn on this rubbish to let the vehicle drive by itself, because the car makers say the car can drive by itself.

Can't wait for Tesla BYD stock pumper to read about the 100% tariff the US is imposing on Chinese milk floats.
