In this video we have a p0087 fuel pressure low we are going to diagnose the problem let's find out what it is
This is a continuation of part 1 Ford Mondeo no crank no ignition lights we fix that problem and then we come across another issue this can happen sometimes in cards you fix one problem and come across other issues which you have to repair or tell the customer they have other issues with their car
The first thing you should always do when working on one of these with the high pressure pumps is always check the diesel filter first make sure you do not find gold if you strike gold then the pump the injectors the fuel tank and all the fuel line has bits in and it's a very big job or need to be cleaned and replaced
So in this video we show you how to diagnose properly what is wrong and how to diagnose a high pressure fuel pump properly the next video is going to be how to replace the high pressure fuel pump the fix but this video is just a diagnosis video

I've just subscribed and dont even like cars, ha ha, but I do like your approach, down to earth honest, no bull and knowledge. I'm better with bike engines but have done my bit on 4 wheels over my time including vans, but I try not to touch 4 wheels now. Keep up the good work fella, I'm learning all the time although I'll unlikely use that obtained knowledge.

Thanks for sharing this. I have Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI 2009 and have same problem according to car service where I have been and they told me except all that cleaning I need to to change fuel pump and 4 injectors in order get it fixed. Otherwise they don't give a guarantee that only cleaning will help. It's really insane amount of money they asked. I didn't believe them first, but after watching your video I am starting to convince. What's your thoughts about changing fuel pump and 4 injectors? Is cleaning should be good enough?

Hi, I’m guessing you know the lynx engine backwards. I’ve just done the CHG on mine and now getting P0087 combined with fluctuating pressure (between 17k and 40k) up and down up and down in a perfect sign wave. No blockages in the return. Leak off tests passed. New pressure sensor. New filter. New leak off pipes etc. running out of ideas now. Any suggestions?

No mate no high pressure pump is designed to run high well in fact know pump it is really designed to run dry on a car as far as I know petrol and Diesel have a special additives through them which lubricates everything just imagine it as your engine it needs oil to keep running engines don't like running dry neither do pumps

Hi mate yes if you bring some spare engine oil with you in a little tub and leave it in the back of your car if you think you've got bad diesel in the car starts acting funny you can pour some oil into the diesel this will make it smoke a lot but it will protect the pump and the injectors enough for you to get it pumped out and fill a fresh diesel

Would have bin Hand down way better to rebuild the broken Original Engine, Vet belt broken yeah you need 4 new pistons and every bearing in the engine + valves, but they are dammed easy to do+In the UK there are a few shops that selling Good Priced bundle on every part needed. + out of that you get a "new" Engine as it's been rebuilt. that have 0 miles on it. It’s been through mot. No problems with bearings, bushes etc. Had wheel balance checked. I’ve noted that there are no spAcers. It happens a little at around 20 mph. But quit bad at just over 40 mph more so on accelerating. At around 50 mph it stops. No steering wheel wobble. No foot brake movement under breaking. What you thoughts please.
