Thank you! Wish I would have known this for the last few years! Had one rear window on my last vehicle that wouldn't go up one touch, drove me crazy. Got a new vehicle a few months ago, and now rear and front passenger windows, same thing. Just did this, and it worked perfectly! Yay!

This happens every 6 months on my Ford Escape 2022 and 2023. Appears to be a common issue. I notice it pushes so hard when it closes the whole door flexes. Might be too powerful. Although it did happen a few weeks after a battery replacement. Maybe that is the issue?

If your able to get it to stay up then start the sequence with the window up. Sometimes you’ll have to slowly raise the window until it will be in the fully up position

I been trying to do it from driver side...I been inch by inch clicking it to get it almost closed than it'll roll back down to the halfway position.. Do I need to try to do from the passenger side instead driver... Than what

You could try that switch. If that doesn’t work then inspect for any debris in the window track area and you could disconnect the battery for a couple minutes, reconnect it then try it again and see

Yup it is. I’m a tech at ford and this fixed it 99% of the time. If this doesn’t work for you then take it into your ford dealer and the they can do the initialization using the Ford scan tool

This just happened on my week old F-250. Somehow I did fix it by holding the button I suppose. Any idea how this happens?

I’m not too sure lol. This is just relearning the up and down positions. So somehow it looses calibration

This did nothing for my 2014 front pass window.

after programming can't it be reversed

Sometimes you have to slowly bring it to the top. It can be very tricky sometimes.
