Hi from Perth. Just picked up my first XR5, loving it, has a lot of great work done to it. Has a full decat Mongoose system on it. Sounds great and no drone at all. I wouldn’t mind having something a little louder. Possibly just a smaller muffler on the back but unsure if it will create too much drone. Any thoughts? Cheers Dom.

Hi Dom, appreciate you subscribing and leaving a comment. I'm running an Empire Performance 3 Inch Turbo Back Exhaust on my XR5 Turbo and its got a nice balance of noise and quietness when you need it. When I'm on the highway or just slowly cruising there is little to no drone at all, a smaller muffler would definitely give you some more noise but to my knowledge you would possible get some droning in the lower rev ranges when in higher gears.

Perfect day for a drive. I like using Waze too, particularly the GPS speedo. How come you didn't have the AC on since it was a hot day?

Thanks Alan, Waze was quite helpful on the day and I didn’t get pulled over so that’s good. I mainly didn’t have it on so it was easier to hear the XR5’s intake and exhaust noise, the external microphone setup I had planned on the day disconnected mid drive so I had to keep the windows down so the viewers could hear the car 😄

Whats ur cruise rpm in six gear at like 100kmh?

@@nickvisser730 It’s usually around 2300rpm maybe a little lower in sixth gear at 100kmh 👌🏼
