Thanks for this but they should have just put in a normal gauge - just blew a head gasket on my Fiesta that is costing a small fortune and it would have not happened had it been for a gauge . The car does not even warn you to say it's running hot and I always assumed it would.

There is an engine temperature warning light (two to the left of the gear change indicator in the video), but normally by the time it's come on it's too late

Thanks for this! Just got a Fiesta MK6 and this is very useful for just making sure that all of the dials and lights are functional👌 No clue what all of the other codes mean though, there's like thirty of them 😅

Thanks for the video! it is great to know. I also have a problem, my heater gets ward mut never hot even on Highest temp. it is an auto air conditioner. also sometimes, I hear some plastic moving around in the middle of the dash, like a plastic door trying to open/close but barely does

Your issue is the blend actuator do a Google/eBay/KZread search, it’s a common issue on mk7 fiestas

It sucks you cant see it by default as you drive. Its very inconvenient to push that button 100times everytime you start the engine

does it remain activated and can be accessed from the menu or after turning off do I have to enter the test again?

Yes. Same with our 2008 model.

My fan kept kicking in going limp losing power but noticed getting real hot didnt know even had one but thermostat gone engine oil reading -40 (once plugged in ) but wish i see this before i took down garage (dont think it will make it bk home ) ive fiesta edge 2011

really useful tip thankyou, i have an ongoing problem in my 2012 edge whereby the coolant expansion tank swells when car is stationary and actually failed an MOT due to this, (dangerous?) I'm still non the wiser as the chap said that the head gasket was fine, I even replaced tank pressure cap but coolant stays in the tank and is not circulating as it should. Anyway, i will be able to keep an eye on the temps now- and really frighten myself! Many thanks

If it's not circulating look out for the water pump or a blockage or air lock

@@CFCARREPAIRSa few weeks ago I had the water pump replaced along with the timing belt, and even had a new catalytic converter fitted due to high CO emissions, so it must, as you say, be an airlock somewhere, or a problematic hose. I guess it's just a case of draining off the coolant and refilling but i cannot find the coolant drain valve anywhere- I love your videos, very down to earth and helpful-top man.

Just pull the hours off the Bottom of the radiator m8 I have not seen a Drain plug myself on my one

I think it’s the car alarm deactivating my fiesta flashes in the middle when it’s locked and a few seconds after turning it on

I have ford Fiesta 2010 Titanium with button start, only had car for a month now ive recently passed, I hear a ticking sound from engine only when outside car, inside i cant hear anything, also once i start driving for 15mins the noise is gone. should i be worrried... also what coolant should i use? thank you.

Maybe thick oil is making the valves a bit noisy untill it gets warmed up

What is the maximum temperature allowed? I live in tropical country and on traffic jam it raised fast. 15 minutes 10 degrees celcius. I really afraid to use this car on rush hour

The thermostat opens up about 105 to 107 Celsius don't let it get hotter or you will Damage the head

Very useful video. Not so useful from ford...obsurd as to why they dont have gauge on there. Even vauxhall dont have temperature gauge...

So is this a coolant temp and not an oil temp?

@@CFCARREPAIRS come from years old VW GTI's, recently got a 2012 MK7 fiesta S1600 first ever owned performance Fiesta hatch (driven XR2I's just never owned as went VW). Just seems mad idea as won't know Fiesta/Ford's overheating till overheating and damage done without a gauge.

@@paulmuff9883 from what I have read that's too late by time it comes on Ford set high so damage done head gasket warped & head warped. Don't know why they can't have gauge. All a warning light will do is tell you engine screwed
