Oh there are. More so since COVID became such a problem. I don't miss working with guys with kids that bring home illness frequently from schools.

On those coils you get a brake in the wire to on inside the coil and it will work when got but cold open and close and wires will touch intermittent

Nice to see a good tech actually diagnosing and not throwing parts at a vehicle until something sticks. Fantastic video.

Damn thieving dealerships have the worst so called “technicians?” that just throw parts at it BECAUSE they get commission while the dealership rapes the customer. SOP for them. I’ve seen the proof on different family members that are dumb enough to go to a “ stealership “. I wished Eric lived in my town

I hate swapping sh*t around. May work on the side of the road, but. Just moving the problem somewhere else. Stranded again. 🙄

@@daveyt4802 label the parts, then swap to get home for repairs. even if you have to scratch things in with pocket knife or whatever.

As a Ford tech who specializes in electrical and networking, words cannot describe how much love and respect I have for Eric. He ain’t afraid of testing rather than guessing and getting a vehicle repaired properly. Can’t wait for him to encounter a newer super duty with so many “non-serviceable” relays inside of the BJB. i've been out of the field for about 13 years now, in my experience ford has a pretty bad record with electrical problems, ignition switch & cruise control fires, and should i mention the Mercury mistake & ford conturd wiring harnesses,.. i've got to ask about these “non-serviceable” relays. did ford make them an integral part of the box? if so, its more poor design from them. ford engineer, "hey!, lets make the brake light switch harness move every time you push the brake petal"

NO ONE should be second guessing the Great Eric O! You are the epitome of a professional and diligent mechanic. Everyone could be learning from you!

@@larrybe2900 the middleman's diagnosis was more correct than Eric's. How do you figure? I mean technically the wire leading to the junction box was bad just before the relay but at least that would've been repaired if the fusebox were replaced.

You are a real mechanic, you actually identify the real problem, which is good for the customer because you save them a ton of money! I learn something from you every video!

Your diagnosis skills are great, if only other shops worked like you do.

@@dopeman420 you are correct, I should have said all shops because I have been screwed over by the dealership in my area for replacing parts without fixing the problem.

As a customer, not a professional mechanic, I appreciate when the mechanic goes through the diagnostic process to try to understand why things aren't working than just to start replacing things. Interesting video as usual, thanks Eric.

Some of those fuse boxes are reasonably priced. No clue on that though. I have been in a few and I believe it involves a wiring harness with no good way to disconnect the box.

I've been following you for about 3 years, Eric. You do VERY IMPRESSIVE work. You're a freakin' genious... If I had an automotive problem I couldn't solve locally, especially something involving electronics, I SWEAR I'd somehow get my problem to you KNOWING you could git-R- done... (I'm in NC- LOL)

Hey, what you did makes sense. I'd rather know than guess and throw parts at it. Your approach to repairs is always good. Don't ever worry about the comments where the armchair mechanics can fix anything from where they sit. Hope you feel better and keep up the good work.

All I need to say is get well my friend. Working and feeling like crapp sure makes it a tougher job.but you hung in there and still provided a great video. Thank you Eric!!

Finally someone exposed the hypocrisy, obviously why shim transitioned because shim knew it would be to hard to win against other men. Same with Griner, also not a woman competing against women in basketball.

Other shop uses the Green Acres philosophy, hit what does not work, hit it with a hammer. Eric O finessed it to find problem. Great work.

Better than all!

Contacts on the relay were shotty. When you caused it to spudder or click really fast by pulling it out, it cleaned the contacts by doing so.

I had one just like this a few weeks ago.. Turned out that the contact in the box to the relay was struggling. Tightened the bite and it has worked flawlessly since.

I like the way you systematically go about finding the problem

Get that lady with the SUV who punched a hole in the fuse box cover. See that relay smarten the hell up right quick time. Put the fear of lawd jebus in it. Nice work again Mr O, saved that guy a bundle avoiding replacing whole fuse box. Stay gold.

Was getting used to the simple processes related to the Deere excavator servicing. Reinforces the theory that life can be simple @ times, even if not often .🇺🇸🗽🛐 Hoping for a speedy recovery from "feeling like crap" syndrome. Remember, things can always be worse, could be the object of the manhattan DA witch hunt PRNY @ large.

The master as usual, you might have heard the relay click if it is was the control side. If not it is probably the contacts or the lower terminal. Teaching grandfather to suck eggs of course. but you know. You are just mind blowing, I am learning all the time from you and I have been doing electrics for 40 years. Ivan just had one with a bad solder joint on the board and just soldered a ground to the relay directly. Russian no parts required. LOL

You have the patience of Job, brother. When you are sick and self employed, there is no such thing as a paid day off.

I had a 99 Chev truck and the relay to the compressor clutch stayed engaged running my battery down. I removed the relay cover and a small piece of solder had gotten between the contacts. Thanks, Eric for your videos.

Being sick makes it hard. Eric O is working with "half a brain" and still did a great, logical, cause/effect diagnosis.
