I have a 2018 3.5 eco Lariat with that exact exhaust. I think is sounds awesome! It’s hard to tell in the videos but it really does sound good. And yes, I had a F150 5.0 before this truck. And any of you 5.0 people who rag on the sound I would gladly race you and you could get a better listen from behind me!

I have an 18 3.5, I love the truck more & more each day, the only con of the truck is that it doesn’t have that beautiful 5.0 sound, BUT man that truck runs! 21mpg in a 400hp truck is a beautiful thing!

Tell that to a tt 5.0 you'd get smoked. I have a 18 SHO that'd smoke your truck easy and I've been walked by 5.0 2 door f150s with bolt ons. My SHO has 450hp and 480tq.

@@unknownunknown3025 The twin turbo 3.5L F150 Limited was the second fastest production truck only losing out to the SRT-10 RAM that hasn't been sold in years. A 3.5 with a high flow exhaust and a simple tune makes 500+ HP with 500+ ft lbs of torque. And that's without the other simple mods you can do to push for higher numbers.

Yup! The 3.5 is just a stronger engine. Faster 0-60, more torque, more towing capacity, better fuel economy.

Thank you for doing cruising speeds. Everyone else always just does cold starts.

I really like the sound. Nice job.

Some don’t realize that we balanced life choices over families needs and spend appropriately…… At least we still have an F150.

Great video thanks for making it. Truck sounds good. No doubt. Pypes Exhaust makes quality stuff regardless. They have plenty of awesome Exhaust for other muscle cars or classic enthusiasts. Had a great setup from them with a 5.7 hemi I had long ago. Awesome company with plenty of quality Exhaust to choose from.

I have the same setup I was able to get factory exhaust out with no cuts no problem. In my driveway no experience no lifts by myself, pypes sounds awesome with the turbo spool and blowoff! Combo is cool I’m my opinion.

I have to admit out of all ( many ) eco boost exhaust upgrades I’ve seen, this is the best I’ve heard so far. I would definitely consider this one even though it’s nowhere close to the Magnaflow I had on an earlier Coyote 5.0, but I’m on my 2nd 3.5 EB Lariat currently, and my wife has gotten use to having a quiet exhaust, LOL Happy wife, happy life I guess....I’m 58 and she’s 68 so I get..... bu5 I’ll always love a performance exhaust

Great vid!! Getting the build together for my 18 Kinger!! 3.5 is almost broke in and now the mods. Down pipes, blow off valves, intercooler, intake and nit sure but that exhaust sounds good. And a special tune!! Yeah it don’t sound like a V8 but next you will complain how my tail lights look!! Gap Sauce is best served cold!! Lmao!! See ya!!

I added a 4”. MBRP system on my 2014 Ford f150 3.5 ecoboost. I noticed you can hear the turbo whistle clearer. I love my truck!

I did a muffler delete on my 2011 5.0. I've had lots of exhaust systems on many different vehicles and 50 bucks for a muffler delete and it sounds wonderful. Absolutely no drone! And I'm sure you've noticed this by now but most exhaust systems will get a tad louder with time.

@@RideTheEarthnow mine has some drone when pulling my parachute (pontoon boat) the transmission in tow haul stays in 8th gear. With my flat bed car hauler and quads it will go to 10th and doesn't have that drone very often.

I just put this exhaust on my 2013 about 2 months ago and I’m really enjoying it the stock exhaust was just too quiet for me in not really in love with the sound of these engines but it sounds ok with this pipe the drone is almost non existent in my experience and with a 6.5 foot box and a crew cab I didn’t need to trim anything

it sounds great.....

Just traded my 5.0 mustang gt with a corsa extreme echaust for a 2019 Lariat 3.5. Loved the car but love the truck more. You dont buy a 3.5 to be loud so everybody that complains can kiss your ass regardless. The 3.5 has more power and an exhaust gives u better flow and mpgs. I think it sounded great. Good video!

I have a 2021 f150 3.5 I just put a chrome tip on the pipe just 1 pipe good enough for me leave it stock level kit with 33s

Sounds good... I added a Black Widow to my Eco... No one said we are trying to sound or compete with the 5.0... Down pipes next to hear the whistle a bit more??

Like the sound man I got a 2013 3.5 ecoboost and that truck will gap any v8 around where I live at. They all make fun of my exhaust, I have a magnum flow exhaust, but they wouldn’t dare race me bc they know there ass will get left😂

Sounds similar to mine. All i did was remove the resonator and stock muffler. Added a performance muffler. Very cheap job. If you haven’t tuned that beast yet consider. 90 plus hp in ten minutes is incredible.

That’s what I did to mine too I had to go to a 3” exhaust tho for back pressure mine came with an mbrp tho so I don’t know what is factory pipe size Sounds pretty good careful not to rob all your boost tho 😂😂😂

I also have a 2018 for my 4XLT With a few extra goodies Like a borlarate attack exhaust extreme and it sounds like I heard of bumblebees on steroids sort of I like it and I have not been beaten by ford 5.0 or a Chevy 350 or a Toyota tundra V8 Or a Dodge hemi v8 period.

love it. question: is it loud inside the cabin on the interstate with the new exhaust? I know it will be louder in the city with buildings to bouce sound off of. I love the sound but I don't think I can handle it on longer road trips

sorry for the late reply, normal driving it is not annoying at all. highway or city driving. you def hear it when you are on the gas. It is obviously a bit louder too when i am towing.

Actually you can get the stock exhaust off without cutting it if you don't have a hoist or a lift I just did mine on the ground stock height My 21 f150 exhaust has a band clamp infront of the muffler undo the clamp and separate to pipe from the muffler then you need to lower you spare tire and the rest will come out no problem.

In all honesty i would give pypes a call they have good customer service. I can probably explain how to look inside the muffler and possibly figure out which way to put it on but it will be hard to explain through the comments. I dont want to steer ya wrong. Give them a call.

No down pipe. With the k&n intake and pipes exhaust you definitely hear more than stock.

You do hear a bit more for sure. It is not a diesel though so don't get your hopes up ha ha ha. I have heard high flow cats also let out some more of the turbo sound but that is just hear say and I can't confirm that. Did you put on a blow off valve or do the VTA mod? If not search VTA mod, cheap, and fun blow off sounds.

You want it to really sound like a diesel spd sells a kit that will do it. Pretty awesome sounding if you like that and it’s about 1,800.00

Man I love your attitude. Great video. Just subbed I have a 3.5L 2018 XLT I’m new to all this and just installed a cold air intake today. I was looking for an exhaust to fit on my truck, and so far this seems to be the best bang for the buck and doesn’t sound too “aggressive”. Am I right to assume that this would go well with my newly installed intake? Mainly just want to get good performance and lifespan out of it vs the stock exhaust system. Thank you again for a great video.

Thanks I appreciate it. To answer your question. Yes air intakes and exhaust go very well together. Getting the air in and out quick!. My truck has the k&n intake on it with the pipes exhaust. The k&n video is on my channel too. Another fun, super cheap mod. No performance gain but fun turbo sounds is the VTA mod. Look that up on KZread there are a bunch of videos on it.

I highly recommend the factory air filter. There's a study and your air filter hardly filters dirt or dust.

Who gives a fuck what people think. Most of the people whining are hung up on the Coyote. The 5.0 is badass. The EcoBoost is even more badass. If anything, they should love the 4 cylinder EcoBoost, the 6 cylinder EcoBoost and hope for a 8 cylinder EcoBoost. Once you drive it and hear it, you’ll love it. Snagged a F-150 with it and love it. I’d love to own a GT one day with it.

I have heard that is normal yes, and I believe it was a bit cooler outside as well. Did this video almost a year ago and the truck still runs great no issues.

Thanks, I got the steering wheel from ebay made by a company called handcraft. Not sure they make them anymore, too bad because a lot of people ask about them, it is well built too. If you check out my channel I have some other videos on all the mods I have done to the truck and in the description I always try to add links.🤘🤘

This adds horsepower and moves the exhaust out faster so this takes an already quick ecoboost and makes it quicker. And I'm sure you have a tune so you are beating all those 5.0s in the quarter mile. So ha!!

Yes it is a rhino rack. I pieced mint together from their website, I think American trucks might sell the full kit. I will have to look.

What Brand are the Top Cargo Bars That you have on the truck? They look nice.

Thanks, they come in handy for sure. They are rhino rack, the vortex overhang bars, with the wind faring. Had to use dome double sided tape on the roof for that to stop the faring from rattling. The double sided tape wasn't there to stick, just used as a cousin between the faring and the roof.

Haven't towed anything yet but just driving around town it isn't annoying. You can hear it when you get on it but otherwise not bad at all.

It is not bad at all, I will say while going up hill with the pedal down you can hear it. I will say my family hasn't complained about it and I don't notice it. I still recommend 👍👍

I would say I can't say on either really. I didn't notice more MPG's but I don't drive for mpg's. I probably get less now cause I like the sound ha ha ha. As for more HP? I didn't do any dyno testing or anything and no massive gains so can't really say. I don't want to give out false info. 👍

Do people put after market exhausts on. their trucks for sound alone? Or sound and performance? Personally, I can tolerate more noise as long as engine efficiency is improved. I have yet to see a video that addresses efficiency. Its always about sound. Hell, I turn my stereo up so sound doesn't matter that much to me. However, if it makes my truck run better, more gas efficient, etc, thats what I want to know. Not how loud it is.

Well the more air you can get into your engine and the faster you can get it out usually equates to more power and a happier running engine. That is pertaining to intakes and exhaust. I don't have access to a dyno to give you figures. I would like to ha ha ha. I can say it seems faster and more responsive. I haven't noticed any better mpg's but don't really pay attention to that much anyway. It is a truck. Another plus to a nice exhaust is it being stainless steel. Lasts much longer and doesn't rust out. But yes I agree it would be a nice figure to at least see on paper. That being said alot of places created the perfect environment to get the most hp gains to share with the people. My real world review. Sounds good to me. Fits well, seems like it will last a long time. Truck feels quicker and more responsive. The black coating on the tip is starting to come off so I will have to repaint. All in all worth the money, and I would buy again.

did you delete resonator? i just dropped my truck off picking it up tomorrow for a guy to put a flowmaster outlaw muffler on my truck and he told me it wouldn’t sound good at all so i told him to put it on anyways and he told me he absolutely couldn’t touch that resonator because it messes with the back torque

Yes I remove the resonator. With the pypes system I put on I like the sound. Obviously no v8 and everyone is going to tell you that hanha ha. But I personally like the sound much better with the pypes over stock. No drone, nice rumble. I haven't notice any negative effects with it off?

@@RideTheEarthnow yea the man whose doing mine said he couldn’t touch it bc it messes with torque and something else i can’t remember so all i’m getting is my outlaw put on, i might just have to go to a different place just to cut off the resonator and put a pipe on, think so?

Maybe, see what it sounds like first.maybe you will like it? There are a couple brands that I know of that do an exhaust without the resonator. I would assume it would be fine if they are offering them?. The system I have and awe is another one. Is the installer you are dealing with make and test exhausts or just a muffler shop? Not saying he doesn't know just curious. I am no expert but I tend to lean.toards believing the manufacturers of the exhausts because I like to think they test them.

@@RideTheEarthnow he supplies flowmaster but it’s just a exhaust shop really well not a “shop” but a place u drop ur truck off simply to get stuff put on like exhaust

Corsa db sounds like the closest thing to a diesel as you are gonna get with 3.5 so good choice 👍
