Ford F 350 Tremor gets leveled UP! PMF Suspension. Icon. Bilstein. In depth How To. Step by step.
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
On this episode of 8 Fifteen Off Road we put a very nice leveling kit on my 2022 F 350. The Tremor suspension is pretty good but this upgrade makes it even better. For this upgrade I got ahold of PMF Suspension, as I have in previous videos, for our suspension needs. We went with Icon front 2.5” springs, Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners, PMF adjustable heavy duty trackbar, and billet sway bar end links to complete the package. All of these parts are of high quality for strength and looks. So far this build is coming along nicely. Links for all of parts are below. As always please feel free to comment, like and subscribe. Thanks for watching.

you're very welcome. Thanks for watching.
Looks great! I like your wheel/tire setup, could you share the specs of both?
How are you liking the 7.3? I am eventually going to be replacing my 13 6.7 & strongly considering the 7.3, however I have heard of a quite a few issues already with engines having to be replaced on the 7.3 FB groups… As long as they prove reliable it looks like it’s hard to say no to this engine. I won’t own a diesel with emissions equipment on it & it’s becoming harder & more expensive to delete the new ones not to mention the insane increase in fuel cost on top of it & the overall simplicity of the gas engine seems a bit more appealing to me. Also, I always have the worry of my CP4 grenading in the back of my head…

I like it so far. I'm at 16,000 miles and no issues at all.

I have a 7.3 Tremor as well and like it a lot. I’ve heard that the major engine problems are pretty rare
As far as icon told me there springs are rated for the Diesel engine

That may be true. I dont know. I got them from PMF and I guess I didnt check that. When I asked about diesel or gas they just said that with the gas it would sit a bit higher. Either way, withe the new springs and shocks, it rides better and sits level. Thanks for watching.
Where did you get that yellow garage seat.

How does the front springs from Pfm ( Icon) work? I have 7.3 gas. Is it stiffer then stock?

I think the springs and the Bilstein shocks together definitely made a nice difference.

I don’t have this truck anymore.
How does this setup tow the heavy toy hauler

Also are you rolling with 35 or 37’s?

It handles it very well. Tows like a dream.

@@joshherbst3172 35's for now. Have 37's on order though.
So with the leveling kit, the front of the truck is level with the rear, unloaded. What happens when you load up the truck? Adding air bags to solve a problem you created doesn't make a lot of sense!!!

Some people don't like the factory raked look. Some people also want to fit bigger tires under it. Adding air bags is a legit solution for a problem that may even be a problem without the level. It's very simple. It makes pretty clear sense for some, but if it's not your cup of tea, you should probably keep it to yourself.

@@toyhaulin Certainly - we all like to customize our vehicles. In this case, the factory engineers have calculated exactly what springs to have in the back so the suspension does not bottom out nor sag when carrying maximum payload. By putting leveling springs in the front to bring the front of the truck up, it may look cool but it defeats the aerodynamic rake and throws off the suspension of the truck not to mention when the back is carrying max load, you now have to put air bags to compensate. Putting airbags to solve a problem the owner caused is hardly brilliant considering there weren't any problems when the truck was new and delivered by the manufacturer!

@@LWRC again, no way to get bigger tires on it without a level or a lift. Guess what, if you buy a lifted truck from the factory, it’s still going to squat and be sitting nose high. Especially at max payload. Ask me how I know. I had airbags on a previous rig. Also ran timbren bump stops. I didn’t have to use them only at max payload on a stop setup. I had to use them at less than that as well or it would squat. What you’re saying is at max payload, the rear is only going to sag 2”? Because that is far from accurate. Does a leveling kit make it worse? Absolutely. But people put airbags on stock trucks for a reason… that’s like saying buying a drop hitch to level out a trailer makes no sense because you could have bought a shorter truck and you caused it yourself. Your point has too many inaccurate assumptions to be considered valid. I towed a fifth wheel for a long while with a leveled and lifted truck. Guess what? I had air bags long before I had it leveled or lifted for a reason.

@@toyhaulin Were talking about two different things here. Leveling for the sake of leveling. In your case, perhaps you do need airbags.

@@LWRC right, but you’re assuming he wasn’t going to put airbags on regardless. You’re assuming the leveling kit is the reason why. None of which makes any sense. It seems like you’re against lifting or leveling a truck. Which is fine. Some people like plain trucks. Some people like to be different. Some people have a reason for needing bigger tires. So my point here is… your opinion doesn’t matter so why voice it.
