    Had a 2.8i about 7 years ago . First one I’ve had . Love the cars. Had uncountable fords and the capri just came and went like all the others :(

    A work colleague from one of my first jobs had an A reg 1.6 LS in silver. This was around 1995.She thought it was "a load of crap" as it did break down a few times. It was replaced with an E reg Ford Sierra Sapphire L in red.

    Yea mine was always breaking down - often towed home with the Triumph Acclaim which never broke down lol.

    2.8i and 3.0S were amazing cars. So attractive and the shape has stood the test of time. But why oh why they made 1.3 and 1.6? Those were about as fast as a lawnmower. Ford ruined Capri's image with those. 2.0S should have been the entry level model, definitely.

    All Capris Mk3s were built in Germany for Europe and the UK.

    Indeed in 1976 production moved to Cologne but from late 1984 production of Capris for the European market ceased, from then on it would only be produced in right-hand drive form for the British market.
