Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Here's a quick oil change procedure on the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport with the 1.5 Liter EcoBoost 3 Cylinder engine. This procedure is also quite similar to that of the 2020 Ford Escape and up with the same 1.5 liter engine.

    Ok anyone with a tgdi engine should always use full synthetic oil. Period. No matter what anyone or any dealer/manufacturer tells you. Use Mobil 1’s full synthetic gf-6a 5w-20 instead. My mother changed it to that oil and it made her engine run smoother, quieter, and get a bit better gas mileage. And ALWAYS change your oil every 5k miles or every year on a tgdi engine.

    I just finished doing and oil change on mine and I'm getting a leak when it runs on that piece between the filter and the block any tips or should I take it to the shop. Also the filter was ridiculously tight.

  • @MichaelAdamsRocks

    @MichaelAdamsRocks

    If it wasn’t leaking before the oil change, the new filter could either have a defective gasket, or the old gasket from the last filter got stuck on the filter housing. That’s what comes to my mind without actually seeing the problem.

    @@MichaelAdamsRocks thanks for the reply we checked both gaskets and they were there on both filters. Apparently when I was doing my research there is an oil leak recall on my 1.5L engine.

    With all the screws holding the skid plate, belly pan, dust cover (whatever it's called) why did they feel they needed to put two push pin retainers in? It doesn't make sense.

    Read your manual in the glove compartment. There is a system with newer cars(including this one) that detects when you need your oil changed. This saves you money and helps the environment seeing as you only change the oil when you actually need it.

    Hate to break it to you, but the second or two that it takes for oil to circulate through an empty filter is not going to do any engine damage nowadays. The way some oil filters are even oriented on some engines make it impossible to install a "full" oil filter without it spilling out. The engine will be just fine.

    I have 2016 & 2022 Fords in the driveway, and before that a 2010 and 2013. They've all been Metric. If I went back to the '01 and '06 before that it'd probably be the same. Ford builds for the world market I guess, and outside of US, it's pretty well a metric world. I'm in Canada.
