Great explanation mate 👍 you have a new subscriber from North of Norway 🇳🇴 👍 I have a 2001 excursión 7.3 and a cople days ago for my surprise he starts good but after a cople seconds stopped and I hearing a air leak on turbo zone! looks like a exaust valve is stuck! I don't know if the EBC sensor interfere on this caind of the problem 🤔 because I checked a failure code is P0478!! after see your vedeo I buying a both sensors a CPS and EBS will see what's happening after replacing 🤔 👍

You could also try unplugging the solenoid on the turbo pedestal to determine if it electrically malfunctioning or if the valve is physically sticking.

Hello, I'm new to your channel. Just wanted to say I appreciate your advice and info. I have a hard start problem on my 02 diesel excursion 7.3 I've replaced the IPR, ICP, glow plug relay, glow plug module, fuel filters. Once my vehicle starts and warms up it seems to run fine. I've checked my fuel bowl after sitting the truck for a period of time to check of the fuel is bleeding back but so far the fuel bowl stays full. I did this because I had suspicion that it may be a weak fuel pump. I'm in CA. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thx

Glow plugs themselves. Mine lives "on the cord" (block heater plugged in) at home and at work when temps drop below 40* needing new glow plugs ever since I bought it 2 seasons ago. I'm at 9k elevation so double negative temps even on the cord, hard starts are daily. Motorcraft zd-11 glow plugs are the only way to go. Bosch gplugs burn hot but dont last. Autolite, acdelco and all the other ones aren't what the 7.3 ps needs. There's another gplug american made that thoroughbred diesel sells on their website (I forgot the name of the gplug) I haven't used them... We put a set of zd-11s in a beat to s#!+ '00 7.3 with new vcover gaskets, under vcover wiring harnesses and a new gplug relay. Dang thing starts better than mine does not being plugged in at 9k elevation and it's clapped out. Dieselorings website sells a gplug relay (white/rogers or something) that's a massive unit. It takes a little shim work with washers to get it in but if you do it right, last time you'll do it. Dieselorings is just outside of Sterling/Fort Morgan CO if I remember right. You get a good set of glow plugs in yours, itll be a different truck.

2002 f350 diesel 7.3 shut off while driving and would not start I know you said when cranking you don’t see the rpm needle not moving it could be the cps. Question when truck shut off while driving i turn the key and wait for the glow plug light to go off but it just stays on any idea why ?

Hello, I was scrolling through old KZread videos, trying to figure out my 7.3.. I was wondering if you could lend some information. So it's a 2003 ford e350, starts right up in the cold fine. When your cruising down the road 35 to 45 mph, the acceleration will spike like your holding it wide open! The bus will really start to pick up speed, last 3-5 seconds after you let off.... at a total loss with it. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much

hmmm thats a little sketchy. I honestly am not sure and I hate just throwing money at a problem to try and fix it. I would try to get my hands on a scanner and or a way to monitor the systems when this happens. My first guess would be maybe a bottle throttle position sensor.
