There were 2 designs of the Ford 2000. The 1962 to mid 1965 were basically updated 601 Workmasters, with the 4 cylinder 134 cc engine. In 1965 Ford redesign all of their tractors and the 2000 either had a 3 cylinder gas or a 3 cylinder diesel engine. Ford also offered power steering and different transmission options in the 2000. Even the 1965 redesigned was refined in 1968. The 65-67 models were called Pre-Force while the 1968 to 1975 were called Force tractors. In 1976 Ford redesigned the 2000 yet again to the 2600 series. I have a 1967 Ford 2000 myself with the gas engine.
