Easily one of the best looking tractors in my opinion. Those things just look so muscular and massive gotta love them! Great video
Nothing runs like a Deere with a FORD pulling it. Love the history lesson.
Yes I remember those years where the brand and colours kept changing .... I am glad they have went back to the old Red and Yellow paint . Great footage as always 🤗
I just love the background you give of the companies! Great job. There is so much to these company mergers and to keep up isn't easy. Nice job again.
Steiger and Versatile DOMINATED the big tractor market back in the day, it's little surprise the "big" companies swallowed them up, kinda fitting that they ended up being the same company once FIAT acquired Case IH. Nothing beats the old Steiger green or the Original Versatile yellow red black in my opinion.
Great video….. Great history lesson…..Great for refreshing our memories…..Great appreciation for your hard work!!!
What a big blue powerhouse💪😁 I like to see ford tractors at work, thank you👍👍

Now that's the way to wake up on a Saturday morning. Great equipment.
Spend a lot of time in a versatile 1150 when I was younger, love that tractor series
in a word WOW, (what a Tractor and thanks for the History lesson).
Thanks for the neat video! Ford New Holland equipment looks great in the field 🙂 That thing is a beast and high horse power for the era!

This is My bucket list tractor, or a 1150. One of the two! Great video!
Hi Jason, Thanks for this amazing footage of such a rare tractor. I Like the 1156 more in the Ford blue colour scheme. And ist's nice to see an old school tractor, working with a modern implement like the ecolo Tiger 👍
I love the new equipment but that said...........these older articulated 4WD's are AWESOME machines. That Ford is a beast. Will be watching this video many times!!!!😊👍🏻

Thank you Scott. The Ford 1156 is by far one of my all time favorites.
Saw a Ford articulated tractor this past fall near Dundee NY. This is the Finger Lakes region of NY State. Many large farms. Couldn't see the model but it was definitely a Ford articulated tractor in very nice shape. It is because of BTP videos that I immediately spotted it.
Like many others all I can say is WOW!!!!! Thank you for another great video
Interesting agriculture history.
Thank you very much for your explanation for what happened to versatile tractor. Enjoyed the video a lot great camera work.🙂

Pardon my French but that blue 1156 is badass! It's up there with one of my favorite 4wds all time. It just looks mean! Use to watch several 876s in my area when I was young So i guess that's where I grew to like them.
Another great video with a great tractor!
Awesome video and tractor! You do such a good job going over the history; I learn facts I probably would’ve never known…like Ford making a great decision to paint their 4wd’s blue and white. The yellow on versatile always reminds me of calf scours 😂
That’s a beast!!!

👋 hey 👋 from Dexter,Missouri
I really enjoyed the history that you provided about Ford.
Pretty cool to see sure not a everyday tractor to see out in the feild
bigtractorpower alway has the best tractor videos
Impressive...but I have a Ford 3600 that can pull a 6 foot disk, 2 bottom breaking plow or a 5 shank scratcher plow. It has about 40 hp 3 cylinder engine and holds 9 gallons of fuel!
Like those old ford/versatile tractors. Quite a few still rolling around in fields here, but as farms get bigger, seeing more of the high horsepower new versatile tractors. Still running a couple 700s here on our ranch for the couple hundred acres of cropping we do every year. Wish my new loader tractors were as easy to work on and as reliable as these old ones.

Fiat acquired Ford New Holland in 1990. In 1996 Ford New Holland became New Holland. In 1999 Fiat acquired Case IH. Fiat owning both Case IH Steiger and New Holland Versatile had to divest one brand under minimum laws. John Buhler bought the Versatile brand in 2001. Stay tuned for a video on the first Buhler Versatile.

BTP; thanks for another excellent video. 470 engine HP should be able to pull a ripper more than 18 feet wide. I dont like seeing an impressive hi HP tractor pulling what looks like a 'toy' - width wise. The wide rubber on the tractor looks good.
@bigtractorpower
Жыл бұрын
The key thing to consider is the rich fertile soil in Central Illinois where this was filmed. It takes allot of horse power to turn this soil over. The 18ft model is best suited for the tractor.
@nellsonstout7001
Жыл бұрын
1. Tell me you don’t understand how a disc ripper works without actually telling me😂😂😂 2: these tractors are 10,000 ish pounds underweight unless you add fluid to the tires. Underweight junk. the engine is the only redeeming factor
I learned a long time ago cool looking tractors don’t equate to being nice to operate. I learned to appreciate John Deere quality and comfort. That was back in the 80 through 90 era. Everything has been John Deere since. Haven’t been on anything but Deere since. The R series with front suspension is amazing.
Don't forget that roundup also killed the high horsepower tractor, and with no till tillage, there wasn't a need for big field rippers anymore.
@bigtractorpower
Жыл бұрын
I have not seen this impact on horse power. Today New Holland and Case IH offer a 620 hp tractor, John Deere offers 640 hp and AGCO Fendt offers 670 hp. We will see 700-800 hp tractors in the next few years.
