The story ends with Guts on the Island with Casca regaining her sanity and Griffith abandoning his kingdom after the moonlight boy overpowers the physical body they shared and forces him to be with his true family beneath the tree of the new world in Fantasia. Berserk isn’t about revenge it’s reconciliation..

Because the wave of western anime viewers who group on DBZ are getting older. Many require shows with stronger narratives than what a lot of modern anime provides. So they turn to the past, where shit was fucking ballz deep in awesome. Berserk, Fist of the North Star, Ninja Scroll, Devilman, Violence Jack, etc. Just fucking beautiful.

I'm still mad that most of the original band of the hawk are dead. They trusted Griffith. I remember jumping into this anime knowing nothing and having my mind blown by the end. Thanks to that, this is the first manga I've ever started reading.

I remember listening to the Piano version of the song on repeat as background music whenever I read the manga. I've read Berserk many times over but it had been a while since I heard it, so I decided to come back here, and I can't even begin to describe the emotions I'm feeling right now. This manga meant the world to me, and that will never change. Rest in Peace, Kentaro Miura.

Very few series do that only two I can honestly say that I'd label them as "Art" or "Legendary" and should literally be put up in a museum for preservation is "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" and "Berserk" these two need to be kept safe for millions to see.

I will forever idolize the archetype that is Guts, I can only wish to be a struggler just like him, uncompromising, uncaring about the odds, someone who would rather die than lose their honor, in the face of overwhelming odds.

You could have Forces as the only song in the series, and it would have a perfect soundtrack. Like, sad scene? Forces. Action scene? Forces. The Eclipse? Forces.

We all were, thankfully that story arc was the weakest of the whole manga. The anime got picked up for another season hopefully with the outcry they will change the animation style. Id prefer they use 90s style again. I really hope they do it well cause it gets really interesting from here onwards

Best manga, best anime, best soundtracks

People say they fell in love with Berserk because of the dark fantasy atmosphere, or the characters, or the bloody as f*ck battles. But for me...the music just sold me into it so much. Susumu Hirasawa just feels godlike or ethereal or transcendent whenever I hear his music. And none say that better than his songs for Berserk. Honestly, the first time I heard "Forces", I was legit like, "Yeah... I'm gonna love this a lot."

I loved this song ever since first hearing it in the Mount and Blade mod for Berserk!

The first version of the song I heard, and my fave to this day is Forces 2. The sega dreamcast was my introduction to both Berserk and Jojo ^_^. So my first adventure with Guts was the dreamcast game, so I was excited whenI heard about the Anime. Im not ashamed to say that when I was younger the Anime actually ticked me off. I was going by the game and the first volume of the manga and, from my perspectice, the Anime felt like alot of unneeded backstory. After reasing more Manga and watching it again when I was older the Anime worked alot better, but I was still bummed that we didn't get to see guts the BLACK SWORDSMAN who fought demons get animated. Then the newer Anime came out, and im in the minority that freaking loved it. Sure it had problems but I was just happy to see Dragon Slayer carve up foes again. Black hound wouldn't stand a chance. One is a band of crazy rapists and gangsters led by a super monkey while the other is basically evil justice league made up of super OP demons from devilman.
