Been watching the Morrow family of plum grove texas. Prayers for all people and their animals affected by the flooding. Thank you all for helping where you can.

Praying for all those affected.

These poor citizens. You wouldn’t believe / grasp that your entire house would flood because of a warning of the possibility that it might. And wondering where you’d go would definitely make it difficult to come to terms with and just leave. I pray things work out okay for all of them.

This is not their first rodeo. The San Jacinto River floods badly very frequently. Why they are allowed to rebuild there is the real question.

The third flood, after her husband having to jump out a 2nd floor window with their pets into flash flood waters and losing everything for the 1st time, the federal gov't, under FEMA regs, condemned the property, bought my mom's cousin in River Plantation, Conroe , Texas, out and they moved. I was there a few years ago and guess what? The govt just turned around and sold the house to another family. The house was still there as of 2020 and I assume it was still there last week, before the flood waters that have sure covered it by now.

@Andrea-LovesYouStill They moved. To Lake Conroe. Lol Their son bought a house near the one he grew up in that had been flooded during Harvey. It's a good way to remodel a time or two I guess. Houston was originally packaged and sold by swindlers. It IS a swamp. All of man's attempts to change that have resulted only in periodic catastrophic flooding. And like ants whose mound have been knocked over, they scramble repeatedly to rebuild. 🤷‍♀️

Flood is as dangerous as fire! Why don’t they listen to officials and evacuate! Please thank your rescuers. They are your heros putting their lives in danger to rescue the people who won’t leave when officials warn them about the danger.

If your house got flooded, then your house isn't high enough above the high water mark. People who have been through multiple floods learn that they either need to live elsewhere, or raise the house above the flood level, or just live with the inevitable future flooding..

It's not just rain or river. They dumped the dam. And gave no warning of it.

They did give warning of it. And yes, it is sad and terrible. If they don’t release the water the dam could give way and take lives and more homes.

They never do. And when people take them to court over it, the case always gets thrown out.

So you are telling me that the high-water rescue team does not rescue team does not have any headlamps like Fenix or Nitecore with swappable rechargeable batteries so they can see at night. Makes no sense.

Hate to see that. I moved to Houston in 15-17...I did satellite installation in those areas.

If you need a new home buy above the highest lake level before dam release, my best suggestion

it baffles me that for some reason in Houston, one still cannot find whole entire subdivisions of stilt houses unless you go down all the way to the coast. Seems like a pretty massive real estate development opportunity for some savvy developer to purchase land out there next to San Jacinto and Trinity river areas in east Houston. I’ve been wondering that since Harvey. Unfortunately, the city is just growing too fast to keep up with building new drainage ditches and all that. Plus population density is getting denser. Floods are just a way of life, down here, unfortunately. But the city has adapted before, and folks can adapt again. It sucks super hard. Yes. I am not discounting that at all. Nevertheless…

They expanded the bayous in my area and other areas I’ve been around. They’ve made them deeper and wider. They’re actually working on a few near me making it deeper with some smaller ones that will drain into it

Montgomery county should be sued for the flooding that happens downstream, that way they will be responsible when they open the dam. They have plenty of money to pay... then they will be responsible when they release water.

You’re too smart for this world! Seems the people operating the dams are not releasing water sooner are likely corrupt, prob trying to get fed funding or have investments in real estate that want these areas to be depopulated so they can swoop in and build whatever they want there.

Montgomery county needs to call it a disaster area just like Harris county has done so already

It flooded in Middle East a few weeks ago, did you comment on drilling then? or The rain is coming from the western part of the country and moving across Texas, what does drilling have to do with the floods?

They need to do credit checks because my uncle always pays his bills perfectly and you can't get behind on them bills. If your going check to check you can't stop or it will ruin your credit. Also with a social credit score which my uncle would love is that if you hang out with people lower then you then it can hurt your credit score. But then no one would get rescued? This isn't the time for that this is a time to lower your standards a little bit.

Well any person with common sense would know what region it was about based on the station that’s covering it. Texas doesn’t cover California weather or news and I expect the same for California not to cover Texas weather or news! Also your local weather would have to be heavy rain and flooding for you to assume it was in your area or state
