Do the things which make you strong. Instead of and trying to change the whole world, first win the war within yourself. To make the world a better place, first do the things you have to do everyday for you, and actually do them. Hard times make us, they prepare us, they make us stronger.

It is ridiulous how precise he described my life - went to the good schools, valedcitorian at best university in my area, good job with long hours - but still so unhappy - living from weekend to weekend, all day working for somebody elses dream, while not having time to live my own. Still living at home with my parents at 27 and no girlfriend. I am not even unantractive and tall but it all does not help, not really depressive but i am kind of stuck, after all the time before I had a clear goal (finishing school, good grades, valedictorian) - now i strawl with no goals through life and I am stagnant and it really bothers me. Kind of improved only when i started working out, very late after work - but is really exhausting over time.

Who knew all this time it was just that I was lazy. Not like I have a disease or anything. I'm on my way to a cancer ward to tell all the patients to quit being lazy asses and stop being bitches. Good for him. He's a very determined and tough human being. I understand that navy seal training is brutal for a reason. It weeds out the weak. However not listening to your body is DANGEROUS. Please, Please, Please, listen to your body! Pain exists for a purpose. I applaud this man for doing a good thing by trying to lift others up but he isn't being realistic when it comes to certain things and he can get people hurt. Permanently.

"Life will always be the most grueling endurance sport, and when you train hard, get uncomfortable, and callous your mind, you will become a more versatile competitor." Points from the video: Building willpower unlocks a deeper understanding of oneself, which many people shy away from due to the discomfort it brings. Overcoming setbacks and injuries requires a mindset of adaptability and resilience, redirecting energy towards strengthening weaknesses. Training isn't just about physical preparation; it's about fortifying the mind for life's challenges and uncertainties. The power of being the "only" in a situation can be harnessed to fuel personal growth and success. The 40% rule emphasizes breaking free from self-imposed limitations and pushing past mental barriers to achieve one's full potential. True greatness isn't achieved through a single accomplishment but through sustained effort and continuous pursuit of excellence, even among the already accomplished. Thank you for sharing this inspiring video. It's a powerful reminder of the importance of mental fortitude, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of greatness in all aspects of life.

Goggins, how do you deal with your partner or a person you are dating has that mentality where they feel they are old, and want you to give up with them because as they say “ we are older”. “ Lets eat and enjoy life”. When you have a goal and the keep saying “ you look fine, you don’t have to do it” even when you are 25 pounds overweight. How do you tell them without just being rude???.

Right, but theres nothing wrong with taking a step back to look after yourself. Action can also be stillness. Looking after your body does not have to mean pushing through injury and denying yourself quality time. Compete against yourself, not others. Not injury.

I read this about surfers decades ago. The young guys who surf every day and travel the world chasing waves are not hard-core surfers. The real hard-core surfer is the guy who has a stressful job, a wife, kids and responsibilities, yet he gets up at 6 am every morning and has a surf for an hour before work. He is the hard-core surf warrior.
