NVH is surprisingly good- I have two colleagues who travel with me ; one of them mentions the sound to be at par with his compass and another one says his harrier(1st gen) is noisier ! But it gets noisy on opening the windows- the snorkel is very loud (but super fun!) once you open the glasses.

He explains so well ....

From what I have read on online forums, the leak wasn't due to or just due to initial lot of vehicles being idle in storage (rust may be but not cause of leak). I had read that the pipe routing or orientation was changed with newer lot which was basically the fix. Also a vehicle shouldnt exactly rust if stowed away for 2-3 months, atleast not enough to cause leaks. For most owners, it could be the second or third car at home, so chances are it will be left unused for sometime. Force seriously needs to work with sourcing good electronics for their passenger vehicles atleast. Lifestyle segment though very niche, is also a very demanding segment where customers who spend this much expect quick turnaround and less niggles to begin with. I do know Force is now working quite hard to sort our customer and product service but they are a few decades late. Hopefully all the learnings from the 3 door will make sure the next version and the 5 door wont have issues. I really hope Gurkha does well in the market, it will also motivate Force to do from their side.

Correct. The rusting was superficial in most cars and there’s a possibility they improved the quality of anti rust coats later on. Other things can be narrowed down to poor quality parts ordered by the company. The rerouting was done for power steering hose.

As hardly got good response for test drive but , once I reach there I got good sizeable test drive around 25 fo 30 km . After they did not even bother to call me for my opinions … anyway thank you so much …

this is what we always look for, the actual insight of vehicle. and yes, some time the "gappe" are also interesting.

Issues that I have faced till now. 1. Parking / Reverse Sensor issue / Drove with reverse camera on for nearly 300 KMS - Changed sensor unit at Vijaywada Saboo Motors. 2. Infotainment USB Ports loose - Issue still persists, will be fixed once I go back to Bangalore. 3. Faulty Battery - Battery replaced under warranty at Bhubaneswar Capital Force [very helpful people as Gurkha is still not available here] 4. TPMS sometimes acts wonky [so I follow the age old method of kick the tyre to feel the pressure]

It’s reliable enough, just give it a good run in period of a few months to monitor for any niggles.

Gurkha always look beautiful without the roof carrier, don't understand why people install the carrier on roof which makes her look ugly. Its becoz its length is short and carrier dominates her personality.😢

It’s an easy fix for backgear sensor. TPMS is very easy to reset, just go to a good Worksop.

I don’t have any official figures but my dealership has sold about 6 vehicles since January-Feb 2022 when it was out on display in showrooms around Shimla region. Before that we hardly had 2 old gen Gurkhas around. And about 20 vehicles have been sold in Himachal Pradesh (although some of those customers don’t live in Himachal)

Get anything you like ! Sab mast colours hain! White thoda trax lagta hai ab jabse nayi trax ke saare panels same to same use ho rahe hain.😬 Red is unique - GET RED; later on upgrade to black alloys with 245/75 section tyres and you’ll have higher ground clearance also . Red with black alloys would be 🤤!

10.5 in routine mixed conditions- hills (solan-shimla- 150 kms commute). My best was 12.5 on this route and about 13.5 on highway with AC.

TPM in Gurkha is like an appendix in the human body.. useless appendage. Better use a manual TP dial monitor.

The driver side power window had troubled me a lot too since day one. Thankfully this was resolved at the dealership in a few visits. We looked at the rubber beading inside the door frame and found spots where the glass was badly scraping on the rubber due to very tight tolerances. A hole for the small housing for the rubber beading was extended by a few millimetres using a drill towards the door's edge to make some space between the glass and rubber beading near the grab handle. This small housing was also opened up a bit so that it does not grab onto the glass much. This reduced the friction and also increased the speed of the power window and now it easily beats the passenger side window in both upward and downward motion. The motor was never the problem, and if this excessive friction is not reduced, the motor will be overworked and eventually fail. The fix has been sent to FM and hopefully the new cars will not face this problem.

Extremely comfortable especially on broken roads but the short wheel base effect is felt as jiggles back and forth. Captain seats keep all 4 passengers in full comfort. Brakes are slow, progressive and predictable , there’s a learning curve (they are like RE Himalayan- soft set, longer braking distance but always predictable). Speed - it takes time to build up speeds but once attained a set speed it’s very easy to maintain good speeds up to 100 kmph and little above that. Spare parts so far are easily available and cost of maintainance is at par with a similarly priced sedan. I have separate videos on both those aspects as well. Space for luggage is amazing at just 4 metres footprint and one can get in from back or even front door (unofficial!)

Bahut fark hai dono mein! You can only compare THAR and GURKHA at similar price point. XUV 700 is a family SUV, very huge, luxurious, super feature rich and fast. Gurkha is literally a slow truck. Best would be you take a test ride of both and decide. And you seem like a CRUZE user… you’ll hate Gurkha 😀, it’s very slow.

@@Techmaxtc54 Thar has that kind of fast engine like cruze but it won’t be stable like one. With ladder frame SUV you’ll have to compromise on this aspect. Give compass a try as well - fast, stable and good off-roading capabilities. But do test ride the Gurkha and Thar.

It’s extremely comfortable, rather surprisingly smooth for a ladder frame SUV, safety wise it’s not NCAP tested so can’t comment scientifically but in general feel it’s built very well. Only issue I have had with comfort is neck strain due to straight headrests- so I have got an additional Ortho cushion for neck area.

Stop researching and get it, if you start researching KZread you’ll find more negative than good things. People always reach social media platforms for complaining whereas when the product runs good they don’t come online. You’ll find scary stories of Thar getting stranded due to engine/DPF/DEF failures, catching fire and what not but you’ll find very less stories about good experience because most people just enjoy and don’t have the time to go online and appreciate. And you get more views with controversial topics. Just know what you want- at this budget you only have two hardcore 4x4 jeeps - THAR and GURKHA. Thar has better ground clearance, better articulation, more modern dashboard and lot faster with a wide service network. Gurkha has incomparable ride quality, you’ll never get tired in this beast, amazing space inside for 4 adults; very good 4x4 system with perfect off-roading ratios and relaxed Diesel engine that can take abuse, selectable diff locks that get it out of scenarios where even Thar might get stuck. So…

Everyone! It starts after you fit alloys on the rear rack- doesn’t happen with stock tires. There’s an additional plate that fits for alloys ; all sounds start after that. Mine doesn’t happen that often so haven’t got it fixed.

I recently bought gurkha from rohit autombiles rohini delhi.. its been like 15 days since i bought this machine.. and already facing lots and lots of issues.. there is a force dealership in dehradun but they don't know single thing about this vehicle. I can't travel to delhi everytime for these issues. Please tell the northen heads to upgrade the services in dehradun. I can make an entire list of the problems which im facing with my vehicle. And trust me im regretting my decision of buying this vehicle now

These are really annoying! No marketing; no company sponsored drives, no publicity, no showroom test drive vehicles… Here alone in shimla my dealer sold 10+ vehicles in 2 months as they had test ride vehicles all over the shimla region - the dealer was rotating 2 cars for demo all over.

Sir if you have a good dealership around then you can go for it; good after sales is a major deciding factor these days, otherwise all manufacturers make good vehicles. Gurkha is very comfortable for long distance adventure touring. At just 4.1 meters it’s easy to park, manoeuvre yet spacious enough for 4 people.

I feel that Force Motors should stop making private passenger vehicles like gurkha and others rather than providing their customers with such shoddy products and unreliable service and most important the unavailability of spare parts. They should focus on their commercial vehicles like the force traveller. The gurkha also feels overpriced when you experience such problems few days after buying. Your points are valid sir if only niggles are considered collectively over all owners … but that’s not what’s happening here. I have given a summary of issues so far faced by some of the owners. If you go through ownership reports of closest competitors you’ll be amazed by the number of complaints. Since this video is only about niggles the Gurkha seems overpriced. But if the overall package is considered with best in class space, best ride quality , rock solid reliable FM2.6 commercial workhorse engine and capable off-roading package with leaps ahead build quality from previous gen- the pricing becomes spot on. And you’ll hardly find an unhappy Gurkha owner so far. Even I’m guilty of making this video just to increase KZread views, the vehicle is as pleasant and good as any car I have owned. But this justification is by no means meant to change your views- only first hand experience can change that.

I have made another video on it. The control arms are horizontal and placed lower than other SUVs; overall ground clearance is good. Just need to watch the arms during hardcore rock climbing ; otherwise it goes over anything like a boss.

Par sirf bad roads par aati hai ye aawaz wo bhi zyada speed par. Aap test ride ko ache se gaadi ki, pasand aayi tabhi lena nahi to thar bhi sexy gaadi hai. Ye video “problems” ka hai jo company ki di hui gaadi mein kharab ho rahi hain. Ground clearance “lower control arms” ke paas se kam hai - wo LIMITATION hai. Us tarah ki video bhi banunga ke “kya acha ho sakta tha gadi mein “ Ground clearance pe poora video hai mere channel pe isse pehle.

Force company se Naya Gurkha ka engine power badhata to Achcha Hotay kam se kam to 140 BHP power data naya wala Gurkha main Aakhir kis baat ka kanjusi kar raha hai force company wala

Inke paas itna budget nai 2.2 FM ko BS6 karne ka. Isliye 2.6 ko kar diya. But traveller mein yahi engine 126 bhp aur 325 nm nikalta hai alag gearbox se. Shayad 5 door mein a jaye wo engine gearbox tune.

Frankly speaking - aaj tak koi gurkha kahin nahi “ATKI”; shayad aapne DCV ka video dekha - wahan par bhi *BASHPLATE* takra rahi thi , wo plate tax benefits ke liye company ne lgayi hai - usko nikal kar ground clearance 220 mm se upar chali jaati hai. Problem jo reality mein hai wo CONTROL ARMS bahut down hain Thar ke comparison mein. Thar ki control arms ball joint ke upar attached hain and Gurkha ki ball joint ke neeche. Isliye rock climbing mein tyre ke aas pas ka hissa touch kar sakta hai. Lekin gurkha ki ride quality itni superior hai ke un control arms ko upar attach kiya to ride quality kharab ho jayegi. Isliye ye compromise jhelna padega. Ye problem nai gaadi ki inherent make hai. Mere channel pe poora video hai ground clearance par - uspe maine ye sara clarify kiya hai. And ek suggestion - if possible take a good ride of Gurkha for a fairly long time- aapko Gurkha ki space and ride quality ka itna maza aayega ke fir Thar mein baithke ghutan hogi.

@@deveshsharma_mountainshrink nahi bhai maine kisi ka vlog nahi dekha, jo mere saamne hua hai or roj dekhta hu wohi bta raha hu, 12 saal se force Cruser chla raha hu , bahut acche se dekha hai force ko

It’s a small company with very simple jeep. We can’t have too much numbers.

bhai kuch nhi tha major to video nhi banana tha na khud ka time waste kar rhe ho aur baki ka bhi .. next time se tumhare video to ignore ki karna padega

Definitely THAR is better, the sales numbers prove that, but everyone doesn’t enjoy it. Gurkha is not a perfect product but we owners have a liking for it due to it’s core feel just like “underpowered” long stroke Enfields.

Poor built quality...👎👎👎👎👎

Force motors is adapted same Tata policy. Playing with coustemer's money. Like Tata play in early 1990es when Tata launch sumo, estate and siarra. Tata didn't spend money on R&D on these whichel but wants to make improvements on there coustemer's review. That's reason tata can't capture domestic whichel Market on that time. Same is Force motors trying to do.

@@harrysingh8126 that’s always a risk with small brands - they don’t spend enough money on RnD, that’s why they are using the same engine block of OM616 since almost 40 years as that engine doesn’t need RnD.
