Foraging Yarrow for Herbal Tea

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Here woodlands.co.uk visit forager Kael Atterton. Here he shows us how to safely forage Yarrow, a flowering plant also known as Achillea millefolium. He gives us information about it’s uses, it's folklore, where and when they grow and how to prepare yarrow for a herbal infusion.
You can use both the flowers and the leaves to make medicinal tea which is sometime found to help treat colds. Alternatively Yarrow can be eaten raw on a salad! Next time you are out exploring meadows or woodlands keep an eye out for this versatile and useful plant. With thanks to Kael Atterton and Red Squirrel Ancestral Skills.

Thank you so much for this experience! I’ve been finding some yarrow growing a bit more around my property and saving some of it in pots. I want to protect it from getting mowed down because the bees and butterflies love it. And I can’t wait to try a tea!

Thank you Kael, this came just in the right moment!! Was wondering if you know if yarrow is good for menstraution pain...? Someone told me that, but it feels a bit counterintuitive being a coagulant, but I don´t really know... Pd: love your cup of tea :)

Evening Primrose oil has really helped me. I'm unsure if you can take it directly from the plant, but I take a conventional capsule daily Really helps. Alongside having a really good nutrient dense diet, magnesium supplements, acupuncture and yoga and qigong :) and if you're open to energy work, then healing the trauma in the womb would be helpful as well
