Foraging the Mountain West Edition 1.1 Now Available!

www.hopspress.com/Books/Foragi...
There's food in them thar hills! There is also food in the valleys, meadows, swamps, and all around town, too... maybe even in your own backyard. Foraging the Mountain West is a guide to harvesting and celebrating nature's abundance. Reach out and explore the world with your taste buds. Discover new delights you will never find at the store. Connect with nature on a deeper level by meeting, greeting, and eating the plants, fungi, and creatures that share the neighborhood. Become a little more self-sufficient, and a lot more aware.
The new edition of Foraging the Mountain West has the same cover and ISBN as the original book, but with about 15% revised and expanded content and a net gain of eight pages. We fleshed out the sections on biscuitroots and wild carrots, added material on working with Russian olives, introduced wild rice harvesting in the West, and much more. We did a thorough front-to-back editorial update, fine-tuning text and adding new photos from our recent foraging adventures. The new book is printed on glossy paper for optimal image resolution, and it now has a textured, laminated cover for increased durability in the field. Order direct from HOPS Press, LLC to ensure that you receive the current edition:

Your videos about Linx Vilden brought me here. As I understand that she took this as her professional name... I'm thinking that Vilden means wild in German, perhaps? ☺️

Swedish, actually for "wild one," I think. Here is a video I filmed in Sweden you might enjoy: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jGptxbezYM-dnLw.html

@@thomasjelpel I just responded to your other comment before I saw THIS comment. 🙄 Want my own Pima wikieup with an overhead arbor (another term is pergola). Sure that the Pima have their own name for pergola. With a wikieup and that other thing, the Pima lived in the open desert all year round. 😃
