When weather is bad, I usually shot at night. At night, you don't need to chase the sun light but artificial light and reflection. If it rains, even better.

Thanks, my friend. I'm sitting at home so much this winter, especially once the snow fell and temperatures dropped significantly. I commute... home to wherever and back home... my camera sits untouched. I appreciate all your amazing advice. Your eloquent ways of describing things is inspiring.

That's pretty good advice to just get out there and shoot regardless of what the weather is doing. Here in the UK, if I waited for 'perfect' weather, I'd never leave the house! To me, the gear does matter - that's part of my motivation - trying out different kit and experimenting with picture profiles, film simulations, etc. Great video - I love to see where other people live and photograph.

Stoked to see my brothas from the UK in the comments. love the mentality you have! seriously though here in california we do get periods of continuous rain and overcast and sometimes it can last weeks. id lose a part of myself if i didn’t go out and shoot. thanks stevie.

Interesting point of view. I do like B&W but I've never thought of using it to overcome my lack of motivation due to the awful weather we have here (I'm from Belgium). I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks. And thank you for the presets. Love your photos btw 🤩

Have you used the BW picture profiles much? I’m waiting on this camera and hoping I can get a very high contrast black and white look with the JPEGs like I get with a few other cameras.

So when you shoot with the bw look on, it only gets baked into the photo if shooting jpeg. in raw once you upload to LR it will be in color. if you want send me a dm on ig and i can take some shots in jpeg just so you can see.
