Inccorect my uneducated friend, nowadays there are too many people around the world that are full of faith, and they are the ones responsible for the chaos happening before our eyes i.e. terrorism and Christian fanaticism. The Catholic church has done nothing for the Mexican people except keep us poor and stupid. The church taught us to feel ashamed of our ancestiry, to deny who we are, and to prostrate ourselves to a foreign God by the point of a Spanish sword. The Cristeros were terrorists, a "Catholic Taliban", and I wish Cailles had succeeded in crushing them! Down with Catholicism!! Forward to progress!! Viva Mexico!!

Yes, because in the last 240+ years of Secular and Atheistic ideologies, and their governments, never once made a mass grave in their entire existence, did they? These ideologies make up less than one percent of human civilization but responsible for the deaths of billions in that short amount of time....and the body count continues. Your argument suffers from a superiority complex and the egotism that forms the very core of the now genocidal mainstream establishment. You should endeavor to educate YOURSELF, sir, and not worry about any other. Further, may I point out, that you embody the very traits that you claim to hate in fanatical Christians. Well, "my uneducated friend", you're just like them, just without the "Christian" part. Viva Mexico.

That's it, you're named for what you have, the RIGHT faith. :) Calles and Dutuerte have/had faith too but their faith was/is in their own power, not faith in Our Lord and His mother. God gave the victory to His mother, without her these men end in total loss and the people who invoked our Lady were given TOTAL victory.

It is tear jerking and moving to understand that these men believed so strongly in what they fought for that they would die for it, and the images of their struggle were forever burned into their minds, the smell of gunpowder their noses. “I understood the heroism that the Cristeros needed to fight for 30 months, without bread, without ammunition, without ambulances or sanitary services, without any support. They lived on what the peasants gave them as they passed by and on what the 4,000 young Catholic women, organized into an auxiliary army, brought to their shelters. They camped in the open, in the moonlight, with the blessed sacrament in the middle of the bivouac. The priests, at dawn, gave communion to the kneeling soldiers with the weapon in their hand. Afterwards, the cross on the chest, waving in the wind the national flag adorned with Christ the king, they set out on their way to their destination. All of this heroism was not useless, for it saved Catholic honor. And the thousands of small crosses that dotted the Mexican soil, simply bearing the inscription “died for Christ the king” are the most moving testimony of Christian greatness.”-Leon DeGrelle

My father's family left Mexico to come to Wisconsin in 1926. My grandfather and his brother were not safe there since they wouldn't politically support Lázaro Cárdenas. The older generations of my family did not talk about this at all. They would not even recognize Lázaro as a relative and we are pretty sure he is. Why would they have left a beautiful hacienda to come to the United States with nothing? If anyone has information that would help my research, I would really appreciate it. ¡Viva Cristo Rey!

They left out in this little video that the little 14 year old martyr Jose Sanchez enraged the soldiers because they were keeping roosters as fighting birds inside the sanctuary of the local Catholic Church. Little Jose, who had already been captured but was being kept in the church, killed all of the birds saying it was an outrage to God for them to be in the sanctuary. That was what enraged the soldiers to skin his feet and make him walk barefoot to the cemetery where he was executed. By all accounts he died an heroic martyrs death.

Well, I can't comment on your other points, but the Cristeros did receive the Holy Eucharist kneeling, and pictures of that can even be seen at the end of the movie itself, while e.g. a little book "Blessed José Luis Sánchez del Río Cristero Boy Martyr" by Cornelia R. Ferreira apparently contains more. And you can find many pics of WWII soldiers kneeling.

The full strength was 100,000 Mexican government and their Allies vs knights of Columbus and The Vatican with U.S trying to get them to seek peace. Mexican government suffer around 56,000 dead with the Knights of Columbus and The Vatican suffering 30,000-50,000 dead. But it's estimated that 250,000 died from the war on both sides. With 250,000 more fleeing Mexico to the United States of America. Before the war there were roughly 4,500 priest in Mexico when the war started 40 were killed and when the war ended 334 priest were left everyone else fled the country. It was a stalemate but in 1934 the new president repealed the law and earned respect from pope pius and told the Mexican citizens to obey the mexican laws. Another group wanted to give power back to the catholic church but the church refused to backup Saturnino Cedillo.

My understanding of the Cristero war. The president of Mexico Plutarco Calles wanted to end the influence of the Church in: 1. The church granted birth certificates the goverment wanted to end that practice. 2. The church had vast amounts of land not being cultivated goverment wanted to redistribute it. 3. The goverment wanted to end religous education in public schools. 4. A separation of church and state per the Mexican constitution- Enforcing it instead of ignoring it. I.E The Church had too much wealth and the government wanted to seize the wealth that the church had taken since the times of the spanish conquest. The church brainwashed the poor Catholics and sent theme to fight the goverment on their behalf in order to stop the goverment from taking the power and wealth. Calles was an Atheist and Anti-Church but the Church did ferment unrest among the poor. There are other motives that I missed but these are some of the most important ones that I know of. The saddest part is that all of these poor Mexicans died for nothing on the side of the Cristeros and the army as they were pawns in a game between the Church and State.

No. Who cares about land? There was plenty of land but you don't take the faith away from the people by law. They died for Christ and the right to receive the sacraments peacefully and without fear. Banning catholicism is the ultimate denial of liberty.

Re#2, the Leyes de la Reforma from 1868 (Laws of the Reform) expropriation all property from the church -- land & churches, etc. So the church owned nothing, not even what was inside the very churches, @ the time of the Calles persecution.

Many wars are fought on behalf of Christ but they misrepresented the very nature of Christ. I understand that these men were fighting for their liberty to practice their religion. But they were not saints. In fact the men that took up arms and fought against the government can't be considered martyrs. Jesus never taught us to fight. He taught us to overcome with good and Love. These men didn't die for Jesus, they died for their own ideologies. Being proud to be catholic because of what these men did shows that you do not understand the message that Jesus came to proclaim. Here are some scriptures that refute that these men were followers of Christ. Mark 14:48 : "Am I leading a rebellion," said Jesus, "that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Luke 6: 27 - 29 27But to those of you who will listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone takes your cloak, do not withhold your tunic as well.… 1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse. Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

John 2: 13-17. Catholics (the only faith founded by Christ A.D 33 in the upper room) are not Buddhists. You have a flawed and tainted understanding of the bible and a natural dislike of Catholicism (which you show here) as all protestant heretics do.
