Anthony's endless selflessness is a direct extension of his empathy, and it's sooooo real that his friends love and appreciate it when it benefits them but can't give the same energy when the day is all about him. It's a factor that helps to make the character that much more relatable, especially to me personally. I just really love and appreciate every real aspect of this show. It fills some space for me that, as a gay black 23 year old, I haven't had acknowledged since stumbling upon Noah's Arc in my early middle school years. I love the fuck out of this show and hope we can continue to watch and enjoy these characters and their narratives. Thank you to Slay TV, the creators, crew, and obviously the cast for delivering such a wonderful package for us lil black, queer boys, girls, and whoever to enjoy. It truly means everything to so many people. Can't wait for next season OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!

The character "Jamal" reminds me of how I felt at one point of my life. As a creative and one who finds beauty in everything. I had to learn how to LOVE the ME as a Multi-talented person and never let certain pain get me down and create my safe zone and shield my heart so that the one who has true powers know ME and appreciate ME and worthy of ME......It's a process. Thank "For the Boys" for allowing US all to live anew.

Noah’s ark Season 1 had around 9 episodes, this show had 10. The writers & actors gave their all each episode & didn’t back down from shining light on our reality. People connect to content that’s real & these shows, but rn specifically For The Boys CARRIED! This show in its first season is legendary, iconic. To tackle real life scenarios like Celebrity Black Men & their partners, not being good enough in the gay community, the importance of black space, even the gays that love a good ki. I’m in awe. Hats off to everyone involved. Baby SlayTV we can’t wait for Season 2! & If not here, I bet a network/streaming service is dying to pick this up.

Noah’s Arc didn’t have the support it needed from the Logo for a Season 3. Hopefully with SlayTV promoting Black Queer content that’ll help the show out.

First off, congratulations to the cast and crew for such an amazing first season! This was the quality, Black LGBT+ scripted content that we needed! All the stories told were so relatable and the chemistry between the cast was top notch! I do feel sorry for Jamal, he probably regrets that fight with his best friend, only for his relationship with Devin to not work out. Anthony is a real one, he’s always there for his friends. As for Syed, it’s clear that he wants love and a romantic relationship, but he’s engaging in casual sex to fill the void. Hopefully next season, Jamal and Syed will find their way back to each other as friends.

Anthony is fierce...hands down the most fascinating of character's...in the first episode I was on the fence with the character but boy brought it home and took me with him on his journey of self love and expression..the black fit with slit was everything...Syed is a walking tragedy waiting to happen...he reminds me of friends whose grasp of their mortality doesn't register until a fatal awakening takes place only then do they start to live when they can hear for themselves life's clock ticking...Jamal...my least favorite character not because of the representation...the representation by the actor is spot on...capturing the passivity of someone who believe they are less because they don't fit society idea of beauty...internalizing these beliefs then looking for validation from the ones who created these beliefs only to be disappointed and hurt once the truth is harshly revealed by the devil in disguise..causing him to revert back to square one on his journey to self love and acceptance...and no matter how many times friends...family tells you...you is kind...you is important..you is beautiful...until we believe it....it will never matter...like Jamal said..youre my best friend you have to say that...

I didn't like how the guy tried to put him in a category about that what "y'all like". DAMN that hurt when the boyfriend came by. Ifront people have no choice but to move on. The gallery was a turning point. This episode brought back some real tough memories. I've aways felt like I never fit in to society and the LGBT community. It's more difficult but it can happen. I assume in the US it's even more difficult. I leave in Europe it's a bit different.

This show is just OUSTANDING! The BEAUTIFUL way it's shot, the amazing cast, the natural/organic chemistry, the diversity (LOVE seeing thick dudes, non-binary, etc being showcased), and the wonderful writing. This show has my heart ❤️❤️ Although I'm still PISSED at Jamal for how arrogant he was acting the last few episodes, I wanted to throw Devin off the Brooklyn Bridge for his comments. My heart also broke for Syed when he realized the dude he really liked...had moved on. Oh and Ant is the heart of the show

Jamal really reminded me of myself i remember saying everything he said about himself. All those emotions i remember feeling when i came out to my mom i had broken up with my first real relationship just minutes before it hurt so much my mother was there she was very supportive and we we're on the f train in Brooklyn.

Sooo grateful for this journey. Y'all gave us REAL people to love and watch grow. That's what gets me every episode. This feels way more grounded than any show I've ever watched. Syed's learning from his mistakes and coping, so I hope shit gets better for him soon. There's clearly better for Jamal next season with the curator!! Amen. Bye Devin and his stank friends smh I also hope Jamal and Syed work everything out. Like pls. Anthony, as always, is everythiiing!! The looks, support, and his strut down Tilden... all precious. Congrats to everyone for bringing us some joy this year. Couldn't have been more needed.

Everything about this production was amazing. The script is so on point and seemingly real which made it very enjoyable, from Ep1 to Ep10. The players are some of the best I've seen on KZread. It is quite an impressive jaunt.

LOVE the season finale!!! 1) I can't say this enough: Anthony is ALWAYS there for his friends... he gives so much, and he is that glue that holds them all together. 2) IDK I'm not mad at Syed. I think he was right for not going to the opening.... the last time he was around Jamal, things went real bad. Syed is probably tired of arguing with Jamal, it's not fun, so he avoided the event. 3) Sorry to say, but Jamal kind of overreacted.... people mad at Devin BUT what he actually said is that its not Jamal's best work. Jamal is mad because Devin lied to spare his feelings. It sucks, but it would have been heartless for Devin to tell Jamal that his work sucked right before the exhibit started. So he stayed quiet. ❤ to all the actors!!! Hoping for Season 2!

I’m glad you understood Devins point. I did too, but I will say that him not understanding the work and appreciating it, saying that “ he felt he was trying to prove his blackness “ further confirms why blacks are apprehensive about dating out of their race. Devin’s not a bad guy at all and it was a lose lose situation for him but I question if he has the capacity of FULLY understanding a black man.

I don’t really feel bad for Jamal when it comes to Devin and you can’t be mad at Devin’s comments … like you chose to be with a guy like that , whose culturally ignorant , I just feel sad for how Jamal and his insecurities , because I think we all been there , especially being Black and Gay , but I love Anthony, he’s the middleman and has the most heart and he’s so relatable ! Syed has a lot of internal issues to work on to be honest , but overall this show is like 8 out of 4 stars ! I just LOVE it ! I am going to miss not seeing these guys on my screen 😢 !

Boom! Nick Rashad Burroughs returns. Love this show...it just keeps getting better and better. I hope we won't have to wait too long for Season Two. Obviously, it would be great if a network or streaming service picked up the show, right? I'm sure you could use a production budget because producing these things is crazy expensive. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you all...and will definitely keep watching!

I don't think I can overstate how spot on this series has been even given the limitation of budget and availability (y'all gotta eat and we will pay!!!) the cast is perfect (and has so much chemistry) , the writing feels so relatable and is written in a voice that is so absent in queer media (*actually centers black people!* , gender non conforming people! not inexplicably wealthy! the realism!) in general and covers the kind of subjects that are pertinent to US and delivered with heart. I so hope you can keep the cast and crew in tact and hopefully the opportunity of resources to crank up production value heads your way because y'all are showing out with what you DO have. I feel as strongly about this series as I did with Issa and ABG and I'm so excited to see where everyone goes (and from y'all being profiled in the Guardian I can see the rise!!) !! Congratulations on the first season it was so good!

Amazing episode. I felt so bad for Jamal, he definitely did not deserve that Devin is a real asshole however, Syed warned him. Jamal and Anthony's talk at the end was so authentic and relatable. I completely feel like Jamal feeling like I'm never enough when I know I'm much more and deserve better. In season 2 fingers crossed their is one I look forward in seeing Jamal either single and/or dating the guy he met at the gallery, Raymond and Anthony relationship grow as Raymond opens up more, and Syed with a better job and a happier love life.
