I’m recovering from a stroke 15y ago I was unable to walk for 2 years, it’s been a struggle to overcome depression and I let all my muscles go into atrophy. Now that I’m working out I don’t seem to make any progress and the next days pain is almost unbearable.I also have 3 dg scar tissue on the backs of my legs bc when I went down it was 105 outside and I was on the pavement for 45 minutes because I keep flatlining. I’m trying so hard but it’s depressing bc I’m not seeing any improvement. You are the first person I have reached out to bc I’m only 52 and it’s embarrassing. But I know you can lead me in the right direction. Thank you

you're doing amazing just getting back to the gym! We don't have too much advice for building muscle, but follow alongs like this will help you keep moving! kzread.info/dash/bejne/noWb25ZxYpPdmbg.html It is a long process, think about how many years you've been inactive, you'll need to wait months if not years to see big change. Try to have a long term mindset, focus on building the habit & the journey rather than an end result :)

I'm using these while walking & doing the types of movements you showcase. Sometimes I stop & do them. Sometimes I work out a while walking version. Walking I do within a bunch of rules too. Everyday I go out & do increasing numbers of laps around my local park. I get him exhausted. and feeling better put together! I nap, snack, and do another lap! Healing up nicely. I had a recent 4 years ago, rearending. I was hurt! Felt like my facia shattered and recombined in suboptimal configurations! Like it is learning how to reorganize!

I started doing this before any arm/shoulder/back workout and it seriously helps so much especially if you have rotator cuff problems like me. Mine was just from football and always felt like my right arm wasn’t pushing/pulling the same weight as my left. This completely fixed that and now I have no problems what so ever with my rotator cuff and my posture significantly got better also.

I started doing the 100 pushups a day challenge thing 🙄… now both my shoulders hurt. I’m going to try this.

Definitely a good idea to couple up some bandwork with any challenge like that!

I started doing this one the first time I saw you do it and it took a while and helped straighten my back...then I somehow? went too far and now I have popping and pain in my shoulder joints. One chiropractor said I stretched something out too much and it pops out of the little groove it's supposed to be in. Can be quite painful as it seems to slip out occasionally if I move wrong.... and worse yet, I can't do this exercise anymore. I'm wondering if being 80+has something to do with it 🤷. I loved it while I could do it, felt really good til it didn't 😢. Any remedy for me? Thanks Tom, you are very much appreciated ❣️👍

oh no, I'm sorry to hear that! You can switch to some rotations without the resistance band for a while and see if that helps? Like this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qomq05uLaajgiso.html I'd recommend going to a physiotherapist too to have a look :)

non-painful clicks usually go away with practice! It can just be bits & bobs inside your shoulder moving in different ways than they're used to. Keep an eye on it, but don't worry too much if it dosn't get worse!
