I am also a daughter of the Lord and I have had bipolar disorder for about 25 years and at times I just feel tired and overwhelmed. The world’s psychological knowledge works a little bit but Jesus is really bigger!!! And can free us. I’m going to take a sick day today from work and just try to pray and give it all to my God and rest in his power. Blessings for you and merry Christmas 🎄

Great point. I do think the whole world wants to start the most wonderful time of the year early so they don't need to think of Presidential elections and pandemics. Hallmark has started airing Christmas movies. They didnt air thier fall movies for long

This version of the song is really great, even outside of Christmas! I feel like Luke and Joel here were able to capture that desperate longing for Christ while also being fulfilled with the amazing hope of God, and it speaks not only to Israel, but to all people of the world here! It really is amazing.

I'm also thankful we can put Halloween behind us....it is so drawn out from August thru October!!! And the real reason for Thanksgiving being a national holiday in America was to thank God, so this is a great way to start! God help us all!

@@brigrace27 It’s not a pagan holiday, it is just celebrated on the same day as a pagan holiday. See, back in the early church, during the time of Rome, Christians were persecuted. On the day that we call Christmas there was a Roman holiday celebrating the State God at the time, Sol Invictus (unconquered sun). Christians were forced to be Roman. So to not be persecuted, they “celebrated” the Roman festival. They knew it was sinful for them to be doing this, so they decided to mark that day as the birth of Christ. So yeah. Christmas is technically not a pagan holiday.

This really highlights just how crazy in love God is with us. In so many different ways, this songs reminds me of a father relentlessly pursuing the lost child, like Abraham and Lot. It reminds me of a mother cradling a newborn and loving it with her whole heart. It reminds me of two lovers sitting under a tree, warmly wrapped in each other's embrace with the promise to love each other forever. It points to God being our best friend that WANTS us to be with him, is never disappointed to see us, and loves us beyond the point of death. In fact, even our own turning away from God didn't deter him from loving us. Even after all the pain that we caused him, he still feels the same way about us. God's emotion towards us is so beautiful that we cannot even imagine it. Yet this is the same God who is worshipped by beings capable of killing us without a second thought. I encountered a seraph in a dream the other night, and its presence made me start convulsing, but I didn't want to leave. Approaching God seemed like an insurmountable task after almost dying from just a seraph, that pales in comparison to what it is like to stand in the unadultered presence of the great I AM. And God loves us so much that he took on mortality and died and became a human. I don't know HOW that works, but it is the ways of God, so I will never be able to understand how it happened, or even if there was a "how".
