Being a KZreadr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of help from Fame -ster of course) will always pay off at the end.

This is so comforting to me as a new KZread creator. Two thoughts that have helped me the most are: just give it a 70% effort that’s good enough for now. And while “consistency is key” you can stop filming for a little while. The key is to pick it back up and try again. And again. Remember you are putting value out in the form of a video playlist. In two months someone who starts watching your videos will not care if you posted every week. Just keep swimming friend 😅

Katie I just love, love, love how down to earth you are. You're truly one of my biggest inspirations as I begin my own KZread channel. This video could not have come out at a better time because I am so afraid of posting the first video for all the reasons you mention; fear of failing, insecure, embarrassed to put myself out there, I'm too old to start a KZread channel, etc. My list is endless but you're very motivating and yes, you do indeed come across as absolutely natural. :-) Keep doing what you're doing and sharing with the rest of us "newbies".

After slowly getting out of my postpartum depression, and with 150 subscribers and about 5 of those actually leave comments, it gets very hard to keep going when you feel like no one is there. Barely any growth, and barely any interaction can really be hurtful towards self-esteem.. my dream for years has been to reach 1,000 subscribers and become monetized. And I’m hoping this can be this year… 🥺

Talk about the best motivation for starting a You Tube page/Side Hustle. I am a Commercial Real Estate Agent and I have also been looking for a part time/full time something to supplement my income. I have finally decided to stop looking for a job with the traditional methods, and take the plunge !!! Being of a more mature age range I was afraid it would not work out for me, but hearing your honesty and realizing that overthinking everything, is ridiculous, I am figuring out what I will be doing on You Tube eventually. Freedom and living the way I am supposed to be! Supporting thoughts for you and anyone out there who is considering this adventure on You Tube ! Thank you Katie.

I'm wanting to start a KZread channel. I'm still figuring out a name. Are you glad you used your name or do you wish you had used something other than your name? Thanks for all your helpful videos.

I’m thinking about the same thing. Trying to think of a more creative name lol but if not I’ll just leave my actual name

this is such a great question! i literally just finished recording a podcast episode about this that will come out in a little while - but to keep it short, yes I'm personally glad I used my name! however depending on your goals and style of content, there are benefits and disadvantages to both options

This was delightful. Maybe your most enjoyable Vlog. I guess it was because it was NYC. How about a vlog on how you were able to shot this vlog all by yourself. Camera angles, where you put the cameras the whole thing. Plus what coral lip gloss were you wearing? what was the name of the strip that you put all ou devices on to charge them, and where can I join your creator community. Didn't see it. I've been watching you for years. I started my KZread channel at 81 and now I'm still at it at 83 and learning more from you.

⭐️ I needed this so much. ❤ and I absolutely love your line saying “trying needs a rebrand” I am about 6 weeks into my channel with posting one longer video per week. My latest video was on the difference between consistency vs. 100% effort. I feel like this concept also holds a lot of us back from going the long haul. Thank you so much for your content!

This was so inspiring!!! I did your Domestika course and launched my channel at the end of Feb and I'm in that cringe growth phase 😂 I learn a new valuable lesson about what not to do, every single video!!! I just loved watching you mooch around New York ❤️

Even as someone who’s started a channel just needs a little motivation to keep going - I knew this video would be valuable! Thanks so much for giving permission to be a “wannabe” or to strive for something that you’re not at yet 😂 There is a lot of shame about it. I also hate feeling like people think I’m full of myself because I want to grow on KZread… but hey - only we know what our true mission is! Thank you so much for the video Katie. I needed this one.💙
