"your feet have to act like hands" is so game changing to me
Literally couldn't come at a better time. Recently, got into climbing, and there's this one bugger boulder I've been trying last week that I can't quite get on an overhang. This helps enourmasly! Thank you!!

Overhang technique is tough. Great to hear you think this will be a helpful resource ✨🙌
After watching a lot of content with Xian and Be, I feel myself climbing more controlled with accuracy and tension. Climbing really is an interesting sport - its so multifaceted. Nathan is looking STRONG on the wall!

Great to hear that the videos with Xian have been helpful 🤩
I really appreciate how Xian explains and breaks things down. Always appreciate her on the channel! Excited for her book in the future!
Holy shit, I literally was looking on your channel for overhang tips a few hours ago. Can’t wait to watch this one!

Perfect timing 🥹 hope you find the video helpful
practicing my new foot swaps every session 🫡
Xian is a great coach, being adept at pinpointing technique details and explaining them clearly.
not going to lie, I am a person who tends to avoid overhangs and this week I have on purpose attempted them to try these tips, and was surprised how good it worked.
5:10 Thank you for being genuine here! There's too many videos out there where the person would be like "Oh wow! It's so much easier with your advice, I can't believe it. Such a difference, thank you!". Thanks for being honest and real with us, I really appreciate it. If you'd just follow a script and felt compelled to say certain things or act a certain way I would not be able to trust you and therefore I wouldn't be able to learn fro you. Much appreciated.
Xian!! ❤

The best ✨
I've only been climbing for a couple months now and I knew there had to be some footwork techniques I was missing! When she showed how NOT to use your edges I LOLed. Me. It's me. No wonder!! Thank you 💚
"This is the art of climbing" YESSSS that is awesome. Thank you Xian and Hannah!
It makes me SOOO happy that you're collabing with Vivobarefoot! I recently bought a pair black all weathers (look very similar to yours but maybe a tad different model) that I do wear in almost all weather. I went on a hike on rocky, rooty, muddy terrain yesterday and could feel every little nook and cranny of what was under foot, without it hurting. Vivobarefoot has been paradigm shifting for me. My only "regret" is that I already got my 25% off in a deal they were running in March, rather than finding this first and supporting the channel! Will be on the lookout for further partnerships of yours with them :)
I didn't notice it until now but the example at 11:32 is exactly what I've been doing wrong on overhangs. Now I've got some ideas for how to fix it, so thank you!
These techniques will be very helpful for me as I do a lot of climbing on overhangs, thank you Hannah and Nathan for having Xian back on the channel - she is great at giving advice on how to improve footwork! Thank you 😊🫶
This is a really well made video. I love how precise Xian is both in her demonstrations and when explaining the theory behind it. Very helpful! Thank you Hannah and everyone involved :)
Thanks Xian ! This is the best explanation of footwork on steep ground i found so far
Great explanation and info! Thanks so much!
I climb v6/v7 and this just blew my mind 🤯 Awesome video, thanks all the effort you do bringing these amazing coaches to KZread
These are skills I learned maybe 6 months ago and I went from hating overhangs to now loving them!
at 03:50 Hannah chalks up to tiptoe. It definitely helps.
Thank you so much. Great Video
Yay Xian is back!!
Like the other video, I feel this will have a massive impact on my climbing. So thank you all again!❤
Perfect timing. The cave area at my gym has just been reset and I'm sure these tips will help. Thanks

Great video ++
amazing and educational vid Hannah and Xian! Did you try the pizza at the Hanger? I've heard amazing things there
Coach Xian singapore represent!!
Omg these tips were so helpful!! Also where does everyone get their cute bouldering trousers from?? I have no idea where to look for them
I'm very much looking forward to Xian's book. Try and make it shippable across Europe ❤ Plus, I'm missing a "follow Xian" link in the description. Doesn't she have any channel here or elsewhere?
What about backstepping / using the outside edge on overhang? She mentioned not using edges, but does that only apply to the inside edge?
I would be interested in a Video with a Heavy Newbie climber. I started Bouldering a month ago, but iam a 100kg small guy and its really really hard for me.Through Bodybuilding and Powerlifting i have a lot of power but not enough to compensate for my body weight. 😅
Man, I wish my home gym was that good.
I like this style of breakdown, but a casual climber like myself, I got a hard time finding someone for reasonable price. Hannah, If any of your coaches would do "1-on-1" sessions, how much would it cost? Thanks!
Xian is a gun!
Do you have any tips for someone who has fallen and suffered serious injuries? I had a nasty fall last year and tore my ankle ligaments in both ankles at the same time. I haven't bouldered for six months to give my ankles a rest. But nowadays I climb with a lot of fear of falling. In addition, I have a weak shoulder that easily dislocates, so I do not dare to make some powerful moves with that arm. I feel like I’m stuck at 6A/6A+, but I think I’ve got the strength to climb 6B or even higher with enough motivation and some time.
I am so jealous of your forearms! Do you do any additional exercises outside of climbing?
@RoxusRemo

You will end up with forearms like this after a year or so of consistent climbing!

@@hannahmorrisbouldering thanks!!!
I thought this was a really interesting video however I think advertising Vivo shoes without giving more information about them is somewhat irresponsible. Most people won't be able to just start wearing barefoot shoes extensively without a transition period without getting injured and I think this is important to talk about first. It is training for the feet and you can't just start training every day without injury and people might not think about this.

Sorry irresponsible was a bit harsh. But I thought that was an important point to make. I really liked the video and am looking forward to trying to see if I make these mistakes.
Xian sounds singaporean sia
Why is everybody all of a sudden wearing mad rock? are they sponsoring all the British climbing you tubers?
