Hello Chris I'm from the Isle of Wight & was very lucky many yrs ago to ride the foot plate with a chap I worked with who is also a driver at Havenstreet... Great videos ..

There is something very special about riding on the footplate of a locomotive. Not many people have experienced it. I found the most unusual thing was the way the boiler obscures most of the view of the line and also how it seems to nudge from side to side as you enter curves. Thanks for the great comment!
