There is a great great great difference between being phenomenal and being a Phenomenon. Messi, Zico, Pelé, Maradona, Cruyff, Romario, R10, CR7, Kaká, have all been phenomenal and even magical. But only Ronaldo was a true Phenomenon.

His story is the closest to Ali's... He played for Barca and Real Madrid Inter and AC Milan. But loved by all...Just goes to show how much the fans appreciated him

He was un​doubt​ed​ly the best player to grace the world of football. Although he had to suffer horrible knee injuries, he still stood up to be the best of the best. One of a kind. King of football. The real GOAT.

RONALDO9 was the best player in the world and was ruling soccer and won the ballondor when he was 20, 21 where was Messi at that age. Ronaldo 9 was leading any team and becoming the best player in every team in just his first season but Messi became Barcelona's top player when Ronaldinho left. There where hundreds of players that some of them are considered as the greatest ever to Play the game that where playing when Ronaldo 9 played but he stood up amongst all of them while he was a kid. But who is here in Messi's era no one. There is more facts that I can throw. And I won't even talk about talent because prime messi won't be even a 50 of what a 20 21 year old r9 was

I also feel he was the most targeted player of his era. His epilepsy just before the final. Then his ruptured tendons. That was around the time thr European powers decided that enough was enough : its time Europe started dominating the World Cup and the world of football in general . And this guy was the biggest threat in that era to their campaign to dominate football. Both Brazil and Argentina at the time had many extraordinary players ( Roberto Carlos , Robinho , Adriano, Rivaldo .....etc ) but the most unmanageable players were Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. It’s my thesis that they deliberately tried to put him out of action for good. But when ur as phenomenally talented as he is u just can’t do anything about it : he came back from all that and how!!!!!
