    @@gohammtvThe history is, the rules of the game were established in 1863 in England, with the founding of the FA, Football Association, in the early 1900s, in England, USA, South Africa, Australia all English speakers cut the FA = Football Association = Soccer. The world has always been Football as a sport, the FA, we know it as the English Federation, the English before 1950, lived in a bubble, they isolated themselves from FIFA, for the World Cup, they joined FIFA and the game was never mentioned again. "soccer" if they did not return to the original name from medieval times, Football Carnaval = Football. only English speakers were left with "soccer" only USA, Australia, Canada, South Africa. the other countries of the world Football.

    @GoHamm TV most of my fellow countryman see highlights then watch games and can be disappointed. There always beautiful moves but games can be like chess on a field longer than an American football field (25 yards wider and include end zones, that a soccer pitch). They tend to probe and pass around trying to stretch the defense for 45 non stop mins then another 45. 3 subs a game total that's it and no in and out like American sports. Once you off you off

    I explain step overs in football as crossovers in basketball, very common and can sometimes send people flying or you’ll see players do them to kinda size up the defender and just blow by them. 5:35 was a step over and 11:12 was what I call a Maradona, not sure if that’s the worldwide name but it’s named after a legend of the game who would make good reaction video, along with Cristiano Ronaldo, or Neymar

    I played football a lot as a kid and you just play every single day of your life. I played every morning, lunch break and night after school. It's all I did, it's all I wanted to do. I would walk home with a ball at my feet and control it down the street, it becomes second nature, you become very comfortable with it, even now if a stray ball in a park comes to my feet I can ping it back where it came. I can imagine it right now, exactly how it would feel, what I would do to control it and push it to the side with the perfect weight so I could lace it, how far I need to learn back. It really is something special. Dribbling, is an art form, I would go to the local park set out cones and spend hours running with the ball in and out of the cones like slalom, I would kick a ball at a wall for hours as well so I could chae and control the ball bouncing in unpredictable ways. The best thing about football, is all you need is a ball and some imagination... I would practice skills I saw on Match of The Day (Football highlights on the BBC) it's how I learned how to do a bicycle kick!

    Another silly view from an American, football was called football before American football even existed. There are multiple historical artifacts and article that confirm this. There are clubs formed in the late 1880s that started their teams with a FOOTBALL CLUB, no club was named a Soccer Club. The only European nation that actually call it soccer is Ireland and that's only because we called our own indigenous sport Football (AKA Gaelic Football). The facts are there instead of thinking you're right just because that's what you think. It's also fine if Americans want to call it soccer as you're so accustomed to another sport being called that, and the only reason you called it that is because American football is a sub-genre of Rugby Football which was introduced to America by the English.

    why put a "brick" on there? because on average there are 1-3 goals across both teams per game, the vast majority of shots are missed, so a close miss means a lot more in a Football match. In Basket ball a miss is seen as bad, but a close miss in football, is usually seen as a sign of putting pressure on your opponent. So its not seen in the same way. He probably should have scored in that clip but his shot was not terrible and he created the chance by himself, which is why it was included, it was about creating the chance more than the actual scoring, this is not a goals video, its a skills video. You should not watch these thinking "oh this is what its like all the time", no this is what happens some of the time, when good players are playing well.

    Ok, you want to take the p¡55 ovet ffoootbawl.... In your hour long game that is stretched out to at least 3 hours, whereby you don't actually touch the ball down for a touchdown, unlike our Rugby where the ball is touched down for a Try, where the ball is rarely kicked with your feet in a game called Murican Foot ball, the four quarters of your hour long game, instead of being 15 minutes, last for 45 minutes, each interspersed with adverts, Defence on the field and off again, offence onto the field and other "Special" teams, flags on the play, timeouts, where the average score is 20-17, it sounds a lot but in reality it is only 3 touchdowns and a field goal or safety. So think the average score is 3 - 2, the scores don't sound so big now, but there again, Muricans rejected a 1/3 of a pound Burger, at the same price of a 1/4 of a pound burger because a 3 is smaller than a 4, right, No! Numbers, maths are not their strong point, 99, 100, 999, 1,000, 1,160, one thousand, one hundred and sixty, not 11, hundred and 60. This is why when you get to larger numbers, you don't know where the separator should be and why your presidents start talking gobbledegook, eleventy twelve hundreds, 1101200, 1,101,200, 1 million, one hundred and one thousand, two hundred. It's not hard, People¡ Do you know how long, in a Murican Footbal Game, the ball is in Play, on average? Eleven, 11, yes, ELEVEN minutes, that's it, done, that's your lot! What a game! 11 minutes! Over three hours! This equals 6% of the time!

    Sorry but football is the right way to call it. You can't call a sport where you throw the Ball with your hands football. Because how many times do you even use your foot in that sport ?? And how many times do you use it in football/soccer. And football was there way longer then the American so called "football".

  • @ajorngjdonaydbr

    @ajorngjdonaydbr

    The reason Americans refer to their sport as Football is a lot more common than you think. American football was originally created by the English ex pats in America. Rugby was often referred to as Rugby Football, but the Football name stuck and they developed that sport to fit their newly growing demographic.
