I saw several podiatrists and physical therapists over about 25 years. They kept saying plantar fasciitis. Spent a lot on them and the orthotics. When the last doc wanted to operate I asked a chiropractor if she could do anything. She looked at my feet closely. Said your ankle is out of place and set it back in place. I was finally pain free. It did take a few months because it would work itself back but the pain wasn't bad like before and eventually it stayed in place. Now I can wear sandals and go barefoot some daily.

That's amazing! Before you had the ankle realigned did you easily twist your ankle when you walk? Just wondering because I do. I never considered that the ankle could be out of alignment. But my wrists were, so maybe the ankles were, too.

@@anyascelticcreations I don't think I realized it was different. I had just recently been seeing a chiropractor for a neck injury. I thought it interesting that the chiropractor could tell what was up when 3 Doctors an 2 PTs hadn't seen anything. I went thru 3 courses of PT before the doc wanted me to have surgery. I just share because I hope it may help.

@@joycej9415 I understand. I've also had things overlooked. I saw chiropractors, and many other drs, for 18 years before one chiropractor knew immediately that I have scoliosis. They took x-rays which confirmed. Crazy that no one else in 18 years ralized it. That was about 13 years ago. Now I've started seeing drs again and they took new x-rays. My new dr said that based on the radiologist report it's shocking that no one but that one chiropractor saw that something is really wrong. Crazy how something very obvious can so easily be missed.

We got your back, Bob....you, along with Brad, are still the most famous (and favorite) physical therapists on the internet....in our opinion, of course. Bunions can be caused by a lower back problem.

How does lower back issues cause bunions?

  • @mimiescape2023

    @mimiescape2023

    Жыл бұрын

@@dianejones4276 a bad S1 nerve in the back leads to weakness in the outer foot muscles which causes the foot to pronate. This causes the main big toe tendon to become misaligned and the pull of this tendons on the big toe bones causes them to collapse inwards. This funky alignment ultimately causes a bone spur to form, which we call a “bunion”.

@@mimiescape2023 That's a really awesome explanation. 👍 And it makes a lot of sense in my case considering I have Scoliosis and don't wear high heels. Maybe that's why I have a bunion on one foot.

Thank you so much !! I probably have number 5 what yiur dad had. I’m a professional Choreographer and figure skater been doing it since I was 4 years old. I’m to the point where I can not go jugging , dancing nor skating anymore. I am pain free but as soon as I try to dance within 3 minutes my feet arches are killing me so I have to sit down and immediately the pain goes away. So now I’m depressed because I can’t teach dance anymore , not skate , go for walks , jug ect…. I can only do floor stretches sadly. I can’t be standing for more than 5 minutes so I use a rolling chair when I cook, wash dishes or clean house. I do not take any medication for that because I know it’s bad for us so I just avoid standing I’m usually in bed most of the time now.

For a year I kept getting the same diagnosis of planter fasciitis on my right heel pain. It hurt to put weight on it and I started to walk funny trying not to put weight on it. I did the support shoes, the inserts ect.... Then final a pain specialist asked if my previous doctor ever did an epidural on the L5 vertebrae? The L5 nerve runs all the way to the bottom of your right foot about the same spot the pain is for planter fasciitis told him no... we immediately scheduled the day procedure. After that surgery, I stood up and absolutely 100% no pain! Instant relief from having pain for a year. Also Doing reflexology on the bottom of your feet will sometimes diagnose whare problems are in your body. Tell me more about your giveaway!

I greatly appreciate this video! I've read about having shoes with low soles and that people should walk barefooted. However, I can't find an answer for me. I have high arches and high insteps. Low soled shoes tend not to have arch support. Does a person like me need arch support in my case? Or would I benefit without it in a low, flat soled shoe? I was looking at Xero brand shoe bcz it fit what you showed in your video. Lightweight, bends, low soles, wide toe box. If you can answer me, that would be great! My Dr only recommends heavy thick soled shoes to everyone... New Balance, Brooks, and 1 more similar to those. Bcz he told my hubby the same thing and our feet are very opposite. 🙄

Good video, but one suggestion: keep the camera little farhter away so we can see the part of the foot, the main topic here is FOOT PAIN and whatever you kept talking most of the time we could see the exact location of the foot problem you were discussing. I too have cramps in the paw area of the foot when I am at the grocery store where it is a lot f walking isle to isle so end of my shopping is about to complete i get cramps in the toe base. Also recently I am having pain on the upper side of the foot arch almost on the center of the paw. I don't know if my new walking shoes are causing this because I felt such a pain after I started using the new shoes. The brand that I tried this time is "GO WALK" walking shoes. I would appreciate your response that would suggest some solution/remedy.

Hello Bob and Brad, I have pain on the top of my right foot that feels like I have a clamp around my foot that won’t let go. It’s very tight and painful. I do my own massage and do foot soaks in epsom salt. Also, I’ve tried using ice packs as well. I saw, a podiatrist, but was not very helpful. Some times it’s more painful than other times. I’m watching your videos for some solutions to this problem. Can you please direct me to the best videos to help me? Thank you.

Thanks Bob and Brad! I watch you both all the time and tell my friends and even my doctor about your show. I was wondering if you know why my feet hurt after sitting down? As soon as I get up they hurt, more in my ankles. They feel stiff and I walk like a penguin at first. Likewise during the day if I sit for even a couple minutes they become stiff and it hurts to walk until I get them moving again. I don't wear high heels anymore, but I do take alot of steps a day. I jokingly say its rigor mortis kicking in. Any idea's?

I had Plantar Fasciitis on both feet when I was around 30 years old when I played a lot of sports and worked as a waiter. Went to see a doctor . Medication and injections [ very painful to take this shoot ] didn't help much. Finally I tried acupuncture treatments. I did 6 sessions and the pain was gone. Now I am 73 years old and I am still pain free from it. I suggest you try acupuncture if you have the same problem.

0:38 - 0:51 Awww oh my! Never know about ataxia though initially without this part of statement I thought is Mr. Bob unfortunately caught a really bad stroke which might be due to post COVID-19 or so? Anyway hopefully is reversible so Mr. Bob would feel more confident and pleasure to articulate his thoughts again. And to your comfort that I always hearing very old people talking slurring so it's totally fine, this awkward situation didn't hinder us from getting what Mr. Bob trying to articulate =) Get well soon

Right there with you ... bone spurs on both heels. Have found icing feet on big frozen bag of peas for 20 minutes twice a day, and heel pads inserted in my shoes gives some relief. Have also gotten cortisone shots twice ... wears off after a couple of months. The shots hurt like crazy

Along w massage, I found Baretraps "Rebound" sandles literally bounce, massage feet so I can walk really well w "Planter Fasciitis", & can go barefoot some. And stretch the Hip flexor, opposite foot on knee, stretch, first in morning.😇

The neuropathy in my feet is caused when I wear polyester. My jogging bottoms I wore last winter with painful neuropathy every morning after getting up or at night after taking clothes off. Only discovered it was the polyester joggers because the weather improved and I stopped wearing them (5 pairs). Glad discovered it but its very weird why. Anyone know? Roll on a year. Recently using a knee support on left knee and guess what, made of polyester and in the morning foot pain like neuropathy only in the left foot. So definitely polyester.

Please hear my pleas. I am a parent to a 17month old with bowed legs. There aren't any support group out there or guidance to help us through this. I have so many questions and not much answers. He's currently in PT. I don't know if he should also get a podiatrist to have a look at his ankle as well or if that's part of being bowed legged. I also want to know what will help. Walking yes I know. But with or without his supportive New Balance shoes? What about ride on toys and those Balance bikes for toddlers. I'm just so desperate looking for answers to prevent my child life long pain from this.
