Foods You Should Absolutely Never Put In The Microwave
Ойын-сауық
Arguably the most versatile appliance in any kitchen, a microwave is a must-have for any home, apartment, or even office break room. With the ability to heat up your food in seconds - not to mention cook certain pre-packaged meals altogether - microwaves are super fast and extremely easy to use. But just because you can stick a food item in your microwave and nuke it to high heaven, that doesn't always mean that you should. In fact, depending on the food in question, you could be in for an unpleasant surprise when your microwaved meal leads to illness. With that in mind, these are foods you should absolutely never put in the microwave.

Do you still microwave any of these?
I now have a very strong urge to microwave grapes 🙂🥲
You have just covered about 80 to 90% of what we all use the microwave for. It would seem it is just a waste of counter space.
Lol the packaging on the hotdogs in Ireland and uk have microwave instructions 🤦♂️😂
The secret with microwave ovens is water and heat. In essence, that's all it does. So, if your food is too dry (all food loses water over time), then re-add some water. It the food is unready (i.e. frozen), defrost it the day before. If it's too concentrated, try to distribute it out as widely as possible. All these things prevent drying and scorching, the two microwave bugaboos.
What a microwave does well? Corn on the cob! Put whole or half pieces in a zip lock bag with 2 tablespoons of water. Press as much air out of the bag as you can. Microwave on high. 2 minutes. Flip over, 1 minute. Repeat with 1 minute until it is as soft as you like it. Normally not more than 4 minutes total. Be careful of the steam and hot water when you open the bag.
Haven't had a microwave in a decade, and don't miss it.
Regards heating bread in a micorwave I usually use a damp paper towel over the bread. Comes out nice a soft and not dry too.
I'm a kid of the 70's... we've eaten worse and are still alive. well some of us.

Agreed. If the issue was as bad as this channel thinks, microwaves would be banned.

It seems as if the generations after the 70s are afraid of everything....and they all have (physician undiagnosed) gluten and lactose intolerance....and have decided to be vegans and vegetarians. Sad, sad people.🙁
I still can't understand why you'd microwave a grape.

Good afternoon 😊
I just reheated mushrooms in the nuker. I got sparks, figured I'd look into it.
I came up with microwaving tomato sauce in the microwave approx. 5 minutes on power level 20% per 3/4 cup or so of sauce it works pretty well. No mess!
Thank goodness I never followed the fad of eating tons of hot peppers. I like my taste buds. Thank you very much
Honestly if someone puts bread in a microwave expecting toast they should really seek professional help! LOL
microwave is the best way to cook a hotdog.
And we thought aluminum was bad? GRAPES TOO!? lmao
I only had a microwave to cook with one time. I made all kinds of good food. If you cook it right.
To thaw quickly I put item in ziplock bag then large bowl of warm water.

Anything on the beyond fried chicken from KFC?
I forgot everything they tried to teach me in this video the second it was over
Good to know I always microwave if I need something heated up fast.
So, just to be clear…don’t microwave anything. Got it. 😒
So what can you use a microwave for? Sounds like I should just junk the one I have and save the counter space!

You’d be better off getting a wood-burning stove. It’s all natural 😂

I had a roommate that would microwave his steaks. He now lives on the streets.
Who puts grapes in the microwave???
the one about tomato sauce: is that why the walls of my microwave are coated in sauce whenever I microwave one of those 2lb frozen lasagnas?
@davideanes3425

No, it’s just that tomato sauce has something against you.

@@odinvolk6973 Yes open enough to let the steam out. Otherwise you will have a mess to clean up! I have had to take my microwave apart to clean one big blow up. It blew my cover off and splattered the vent full! 🤷♀️

@@leahwhiteley5164 so what I'm getting is open too much it blows up. they should maybe put that on the box somewhere.
8:12 I always boil my water in a tea kettle for my thrice daily French pressed coffee or the rare occasional cup of loose leaf Earl grey tea. I don't think I ever microwaved any of the other foods in this video. Not even a potato. But I kind of want to try nuking some halved grapes (at work of course, so if it goes bad I can blame the office idiot. Lol).
what kind of serial killers you hiring that eat their hotdogs by slicing and dipping in mustard while drinking w/ a glass of milk?
Hard boil eggs literally explode if you nuke them. Mom learned that the hard way, took half an hour to clean the mess it left behind.

My microwave has been down for about 6 years. Lol
So basically, I don't need a microwave. Thanks! I have always hated the microwave. Now so can dump the darn thing. Community Aid here it comes!
Unless you want to. It’s your microwave, for fuksake.
Well.. Too bad, I'm still gonna cook/reheat these things.
Who would be that dumb enough to put grapes in a microwave?
@leahwhiteley5164

Watch out. I said the same about someone who tried to cook a whole chicken in the microwave and I got ripped for calling them dumb. Being stupid is a right, I guess.
Oh no 😩😩
Did you just say I can burn myself by microwaving tomato sauce? That's a negative like don't put your hand on a red hot burner. So stupid is as stupid does, Forrest. That's not worthy of anything. Nothing of this report is worthy of remembering. It's like they created this report just to talk talk to their viewers about nothing.
You can sterilize a damp sponge in about two minutes..... Hmmmm

If you make it fairly damp & put a drop or two of Dawn on it, after the 2 min use it to wipe the insides easily too.

Who the *fuck* is microwaving grapes?
🧢
u shouldn’t even consume hotdogs in general
What a bunch of nonsense.
My vote would be, NEVER PUT ANY FOOD in the microwave, it changes it into something your body cannot identify.
